Stunning decor with lots of character and interesting items to look at around the property. Host was warm and welcoming when I arrived. I will definitely be visiting this hotel again and have already started recommending to friends.”

“Some of the basics were not provided on our stay so really wasn't worth the money. Communication - didn't receive the check-in details by email as instructions said. The day before the stay I tried to contact the host multiple ways, including Hotels.com support x 2, with no luck. Eventually on the day of the stay I was told I would get the information at 12pm. At around 1pm I had not received the information so chased again. Was finally given the information at 2pm but was rudely told that...

“We didn't have breakfast there. Bar offered a good choice of drinks. The extractor fan didn't work in the on suite but it was kept very clean. The stairs to the room were quite steep and the doors were very close together making it a little difficult to manoeuvre. The toilet was quite tall so shorter people may find their feet wouldn't touch the floor. The bed was very comfortable.”

“Stayed at the Windmill before and accommodation is excellent. Had 2 wonderful evening meals. Pet friendly. Only let down on the last day was a boiler failure which meant no hot water and only a dribble of cold water. So no shower I’m afraid! Had to boil kettle to get hot water for a wash of sorts. Staff very apologetic but couldn’t sort the issue before we had to leave.”

“Very poor. We paid for a deluxe triple room as it was cheaper than a standard double, when we arrived the gentleman told us we couldn’t have that room as it was under occupied and would have to have another room. The room was poor Avoid this place ”

“All the staff we met were friendly and professional. Special mention to Chiara (hope I’ve spelt that right) who was on reception 1pm Saturday 30/5/26 and Sunday morning: Thank you for sorting out our early check in request so we could attend a family event on time. The breakfast service staff were a delight too as were the vegetarian options with some clearly marked as vegan (croissants) which was perfect and having plant-based sausages without having to wait for them to be made to order was...

“OK Lodge is just a name; what is is is a (nicely) extended and converted terraced house opposite a park; so now a few studio flats, with some common areas. Modern and clean but a couple of issues - like oven not even wired in; no table to eat off; and also whilst we booked for 3 adults and was confirmed; they called to say max was 2 adults & a child and would not refund the extra £50 for the 3rd adult (who couldn't now come of course) and I had to go through Expedia to get resolved.
