“In a great location, this simple hotel gives good honest service and accommodation, it overlooks the beach and the train station, from which you can travel back in time on a steam train. The town is just down the road and for bigger shops, there are 3 supermarkets 10 minutes walk away. “As I find stairs difficult with luggage, and no lift, staff were helpful and changed my room from 1st floor to ground. Staff were pleasant but bar service could be improved. The waiter was covering the kitchen and bar. He walked past me twice, while I stood at the bar, but I still had to open the door to the kitchen, and call, I had to ask for ice and lemon, but didn't get the lemon, it didn't seem available. Just small things really but could be improved. ”

Bed was slightly uncomfortable as sloping a bit one way and a pillow menu would be good as I prefer really soft down ones. Good hot showers and loved the windows opening wide as sleep with fresh air even in winter so suited us well.
Loved the lounge to sit in quietly as well on a drizzly day. 10/10”

Inside, everything was spotlessly clean, warm, and incredibly comfortable truly a home away from home. The hosts were welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at ease from the moment we arrived.
