“This review considers the amazingly low price we paid (£40), compared to other availability in the area. We requested (and booked) a family room, on arrival, we were given two double rooms opposite each other. Not a problem for our 1 night stay, but it could have been. “The Dock was fabulous and exactly what I was hoping to achieve for a 1 night stay between my work days. I was gutted as I’d heard so much about the breakfast but I ended up being in such a rush so didn’t have time to have a full English but the lush lady behind the kitchen counter asked me if I wanted a sandwich making to take away. She made me a huge and the best tasting bacon sarnie with a latte to take away (proper fresh brewed coffee) she saved my bacon literally haha. As I didn’t eat again...

“Excellent, spacious room which was very clean as was the en suite bathroom. There was a good breakfast menu and the cooking was very good. The location just off the central market place is excellent and it is a good spot for exploring the Borders. The proprietor was very friendly and helpful.”

“Bridges B&B run by a lovely couple in a lovely house renting a lovely room had a lovely take away pizza delivered to the lovely local pub then back to my lovely room where I slept soundly in a lovely bed then a lovely shower and in the morning a lovely breakfast it was all just... lovely ”
