Note that Mandalay is no city for pedestrians: no sidewalks and every time you cross a street you flip a coin for your integrity. Surroundings of this hotel are no exception to that.”
“Clean modern hotel, great staff. Sometimes they couldn't understand me, but then they would call in someone who could speak better English. I stay here four days, took a trip the staff helped organize and then returned to this hotel till I left Mandalay. I started walking around the area. Stores and restaurants were close so I could avoid the healthy taxi prices when I was hungry. The road is torn up in front of the hotel but I feel sure it will be reapaired eventually.
