“We booked one of the nicer rooms. It seemed like a renovation project had been started but not finished. Half the wooden floor had been sanded and in places patched, the rest was stained. Shower was a clunky 70’s spa tub which ran hot and cold without any changes to the lever. Cupboard with glass doors was missing glass in one of them. Exterior of the hotel looked run down. “I loved my stay here. The location is perfect. Ambleside is very walkable so everything was close. The room had windows with beautiful views of the town, and I really appreciated there being a full length mirror in there. It was quiet and comfortable. Meg and John take great care of their guests. I was given a parking disc that could be used at a few different car parks in the area. Breakfast was absolutely lovely with a lot of choices. I’m so pleased with my choice to stay here!”

“The staff were great - friendly and welcoming. The room was on the small side but we were only there for one night, and it was clean and comfortable (and the view of the hills was lovely). There was a large fan provided, which was very welcome given the heatwave that was taking place that week, We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent. A perfect place for an overnight in the Lakes.”

“スタッフはとても良かったです。 1号室の狭い部屋を予約したのは自分達の責任ですが、あまりにも狭すぎました。また、塩素？のような香りが強すぎて、ずっと窓を開けていましたが、香りに敏感な者にとっては、苦痛でした。シャワー、洗面台の排水が悪く水が流れにくく溢れそうになるまで、水が上がってきました。また、上の階の騒音が酷く、歩く音、トイレの音、シャワーの音が全てすごく響きました。洗面所のドアも壊れて閉まらなくなり、一晩開けっぱなしでした。流石に耐えかねて翌朝相談したら部屋を変更してくださいました。ご対応ありがとうございました。 朝食は美味しく、スタッフのお2人の対応は、とても良かったです。”
