The unit has an incredible location in the Jordaan. Walking distance to everything (shops, cafes, bike rentals). There's an amazing view overlooking the canal. We didn't need public transportation given the walkability. For day trips, the train station is 30 mins by foot.
The unit was a comfortable size for 2. Toilet is separate from the shower, which is located in the bedroom. There's no door between the shower room and bedroom. There was no bathmat provided during our stay, so we used one of the towels provided. Kitchen was stocked with tableware and cooking equipment to prepare food, but the kitchen knives were dull with the color peeling off so chopping was a challenge.
There were communication mishaps:
*Laundry - I messaged before arriving to ask if detergent was available. I was told yes. Upon arrival, there was none. I was then told I had to supply it myself.
*Trash - I was given instructions to leave trash outside the door on certain days for pickup. I messaged to notify it was outside and to confirm I followed instructions correctly. I was told yes, but the trash wan't picked up and started to smell. When I followed up, I was told I can throw it out myself or wait until next pickup. I threw it out due to the odor.
*Paper towels - I requested for more. I was told I wouldn't get more despite the weeklong stay and I'd have to supply it myself.
Overall, unit was good, but given the price, the communication and supplies need improvement to make this unit a good value.
