Wonderful stay

We loved staying here! It is a beautiful apartment, enough space for 4 adults to share comfortably for a few days. It is in a great location and we loved it! Would deffinitely recommend staying here for anyone traveling to Amsterdam, especially a group of friends!

This place was amazing! It’s right in the centre of everything which makes walking around exploring really easy. There were so many great things around here, including the cute little Italian restaurant across the street. The house was a great place to hang out and relax when we weren’t exploring! Everyone is going to say something about the stairs and they’re definitely no joke but really nothing different than any other stairs in Amsterdam. It’s an older city. If you have heavy luggage, a partner definitely helps but otherwise just be careful and you’ll be fine.

This property is very special being an early seventeenth century merchants house on the side of a canal. The views from the large fourth floor windows are wonderful. There is everything you need in the apartment for a holiday and the host is extremely helpful. We had a problem with a key which they dealt with immediately.It is important that prospective guests understand how steep the original stairs are - they are not suitable for anyone with any mobility restrictions.

Wonderful spot

Couldn't have a more charming and centrally located place to call home. Be prepared for steep stairs in the historic building and no elevator.

Wonderful stay!!

We absolutely loved this property. Looked like it was just recently renovated… so clean and organized. Loved the decor with the hanging swing and the windows let in so much light. The view overlooking the canal was perfect. Location was so convenient to everything… Great restaurants and shops right nearby. Host was very friendly, helpful and kind. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing location and charm

Iconic Amsterdam spot! Accurate listing. Very steep/awkward steps are no joke with luggage of any kind. Beds are fairly small by US standards if sharing with a partner (smaller than queen but probably slightly larger than a full). Also, there is loud construction on the bridge immediately out front during our stay, but doubt it will be going on for too much longer.

Visited in August. Terrible mosquitoes every night, no anti mosquito protection in apartment. Went home covered in itchy bites. Stairs are very tight, worse than normal in Amsterdam. Provided soap and shower gel but not toilet paper. No oven only microwave. Only one set of keys provided.

We weren’t quite prepared for the stairs! The apartment is on the third floor, and the stairs are narrow, twisting and as steep as a ladder. Though the space is small, it was adequate for my husband and two teen sons.

The location was very good, but those steps were difficult use everyday, it should be noted that Cezar did bring all our suitcases up and someone did offer assistance bring them down. The apartment was complete and comfortableThe communication was initially effective but, for an unknown reason, we didn't get a response to our messages later. It would been a 5 star review if we stayed on lower floors, but without children higher floors would be no issue. Thank you

Great canal house at a convenient location

We had a great stay. The location was great, but I can't give a 5 star review since there are 3 items that would make me think twice about booking this place. First, there is a road construction going on just outside of the place. They are putting down a new tram line so this is going to go on for a long time. And they are very noisy. Had I known about this, I would not have booked the place since the jackhammer noise at 7:30am is quite rude to be honest. Second, the stairs are VERY steep and narrow and you have to go up 4 flights. If you have limited mobility or carrying heavy luggage, then this is not the place for you. We are fairly fit family and we struggled. We expected narrow and steep stairs in a canal house building in Amsterdam, but this is beyond our wildest expectations. I am attaching a photo of the stairwell to give reviewers an idea. Third, there is a person living above your unit. This was bit strange since there is no lock to our unit, and there is a stranger right above your unit. We never run into this person, but I think this should be stated in the description of the unit or provide a lock and key to the unit.Having said all this, we enjoyed our stay. The location was very central. A major grocery store was only a 5 minute walk away. The kitchen was very well stocked. You have easy access to the tram stations. The manager Cezar was very responsive and friendly. The unit came with a good user manual to explain about the unit and the ar
