We decided to splurge on this property and pay more than we typically do for a rental, so we arrived with high expectations. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing.Before booking, we were told there would be beach chairs available at the property, but there were none. We were also informed that the home had a heated pool and that we could use a remote to control the heater. The company told me to search for the remote located by the pool. I spent a significant amount of time searching for this remote, only to receive a call later that evening saying there was no remote and that the heater was controlled elsewhere. Despite this, the pool temperature never rose above 69 degrees, which is not what most would consider a heated pool. I read the property manual inside and out only to find much of the instructions did not pertain to this property. In addition, the showers were difficult to operate and required a call to maintenance, and the master bathroom toilet was not functioning upon arrival, which also required service.The view from the property is truly breathtaking, and that was a highlight of our stay. However, the issues with the pool, plumbing, and inconsistent communication made the experience feel far from luxurious. We paid a premium expecting a higher level of quality and service, and unfortunately felt we received a mediocre experience with little more than an apology from the management company.
