No access to the canal from their dock- The house is beautiful and clean but there are a few updates that would have made it 5 stars. There are many houses to choose from and we chose this one because it was on a canal with a dock and came with 2 kayaks. Upon arrival we discovered that the kayaks can't be used from their dock because there is no ladder to get in and out of the water. Even at high tide the dock was a few feet above the water. We called the management company who said they would install a ladder in the next few days but that never happened.In addition, there are a few updates that can make it the perfect stay. Kitchen and appliances are great and had most things we needed. If you are planning on cooking a lot of meals a few of the pot and pans were newer but most were a collection of old cast offs. There was not a single empty cabinet to store food so after going grocery shopping for the week all our food needed to be stored on the counters or kitchen table unfortunately.The patio/pool area are newly redone but completely uninviting with a collection of mismatched furniture and not a single table to put a drink down on. The deck is old, moldy and rotting (do not lean on the railing) and there was no umbrella for the deck table. Everything else was good or great. It’s a great location. 2 minute bike ride to a gorgeous beach and the Sandbar. We would only recommend this place if there was a way to enter the water from the canal dock.
