The owner was very responsive so they get an A+ for that.
I gave the overall “okay” rating more because the house could definitely benefit from a little TLC. It literally seems the place hasn’t been touched in 20 years- with much of the furniture old and flimsy. There was a very old bench with a broken leg in the side room, the light next to the bed is ancient and worn (very flimsy from too much use), and there were burnt out bulbs in two of the ceiling fans. The old refrigerator was also covered in small rust spots and was missing the crisper drawers on the bottom. In addition the refrigerator filled with water in that area so just not a good experience there.
The outside is beautiful - the front being very old Florida and the back yard updated and “fun,”though the hot tub not being a true “hot” tub was a little disappointing. The beach is also just a block away and it’s a very quiet part of the beach so that was really nice as well.
If you are looking for old Florida, this is definitely it. But if even a $2000 investment could be made to replace the old, dated lights, broken furniture, old refrigerator, and even adding a microwave, would make such a huge difference.
