“We booked for 2 nights and wish we had booked for longer. The apartment was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed for a quiet self catering break. This included coffee, tea, sugar, foil, cling film and cleaning products including a new dishcloth. I really liked that there was milk, biscuits and sweets left for our arrival.One of my pet hates is small rough towels that are impossible to dry yourself, we were happy to find soft bath sheets...

“Property just as described. Slight problem on Christmas Day, but this was responded to immediately. It needed to reset the fire alarm but was resolved quickly. However, there was a "bleep" sound from the control box in the hall after this, which was very close to the pillow of the lower bunk where our son slept. His sleep was interrupted, but otherwise all went as planned. Many thanks Steve Sedwell”

“Excellent property. Great gardens for the kids to explore and very nice walk to the beach. We walked along the beach to the local pub than back along the farm road. We are planning on returning next year.”

It is well furnished and comfortable and has a great garden with abundant furniture and is situated in truly beautiful countryside and a charming village, with two acceptable pubs.There is a lovely circular walk to the equally pretty village of Rockliffe from which you can swim and in the nearby town of Castle Douglas there are very good food shops and a first class restaurants, Mr Pooks.
