“Loved our stay at the Troutbeck inn! Staff seemed hardworking and very busy but remained friendly and approachable at all times. Our stay was very quiet and the room was comfortable. Breakfast was great and, though I'm never normally a full English person at breakfast, I had one of theirs as my partner's breakfast looked cracking on the first morning (and mine didn't disappoint!) “The reason I haven’t scored 5 is that Expedia sold us a room that had issues with noise / cooking smells as it’s above the kitchen and is noisey and smelly when the staff are cooking. We stayed in a room named Helvellyn and Expedia didn’t state any issues with any rooms. If we had booked direct with the queens head it details the room helvellyn as having issues with noise etc due to it’s proximity to the kitchen. I think Expedia have been misleading not detailing the facts about that particular...

“Lovely room. We booked the dog friendly room and we had dog bowls, and a doggy treat pack including toy, treats & poo bags. Nice little touch! Great food as always, lovely full English breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Would definitely recommend.”
