The property was clean. The iron worked well and it was great to have the small ironing board. It was odd to not have a thermostat for the property. (Apparently the temperature is controlled from another part of the building.). The clawfoot bathroom with creative shower works but is awkward to get in and out of it. There are at least three really good coffee shops within walking distance. They location is convenient to downtown and east side destinations, although it is very close to an active railroad. At least the railroad horn does not blow at night but you certainly know when the train is nearby. As an older house, it is not especially soundproof and you also hear traffic on the street, which seems to be a street that my GPS app preferred to route me on, even when I was not going to the property. (In other words, this street is a little more busy than others nearby. Instructions for check in were accurate but it was still a bit confusing if you check in after dark. The internet smart TV worked well and was bright—and almost too big for the small room. As an older upstairs apartment, it was a steep carry to get luggage up and down. The bed is firm but had enough “give” to enable us to sleep, though sometimes I noticed old injuries and had to roll over. The kitchen is well equipped though we didn’t use it much due to our event.
