Melissa was extremely thorough in describing the property amenities, check in/out process and answered any questions I had with a quick response. The house was very comfortable and there was enough space for a family of 4 with the added bonus of a game room and bed/couch/tv area and additional bathroom on the lower level. We spent most of our days fishing, kayaking, tubing and sitting by the fire. The location is near our favorite stops - Lake George; Pottersville - Natural Stone Bridges & Caves; Greenwich Trails. The storage room had a lot of fun extra's (outdoor games; wireless speaker; extra supplies, etc). Quiet neighborhood, friendly neighbors. Great for holiday weekend stay - lots of activity on the lake. Overall great vacation!

Such a charming place, not a single detail was overlooked. Every amenity was available, from a well-equipped kitchen to toiletries, games, kayaks, and much more. A beautiful place to watch the sunrise or scan the skies for shooting stars. Melissa was the perfect host.

We loved our time at the lake! Our hosts thought of every detail and the cabin was comfortable, clean and could accommodate our family. The lake was very enjoyable with the kayaks and it was fun to watch the pontoon plane take off and land nearby. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

We couldn't have asked for better property hosts! Melissa and Michal were so attentive and provided so many wonderful amenities. The General's Cabin just felt like home and was truly a relaxing stay. The lake water was perfect for swimming and we fished off the dock and caught some bass. We really had fun listening to our "echos" from the mountains when it was quiet outside! There are 3 kayaks for use which we also took advantage of. The cabin is very clean, was plenty spacious enough for our group of 4 and overall has everything you need for cooking. Thank you Melissa and Michal for sharing your cabin with us!

Awesome Vacation

The General's Cabin was a wonderful place for my husband and me to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday. The cabin was exceptionally clean. Melissa had thought of everything you could possibly need. Inside had a well-stocked kitchen, a great coffee/tea bar, lots of little extras to make the stay enjoyable, extra towels, blankets, pillows etc. In the bathrooms there was a basket of soaps, lotions, shampoos and even toothbrushes in case you forgot to bring your own. Paper products provided that more than lasted the entire stay. The game room had so many options for a couple or a group. Outside area was great! A terrace off the living room for morning coffee, a deck for lounging during the day or for relaxing/partying at night. Make sure you check out the night lighting. Very nice. There were three kayaks to choose from with various paddles and life vests. I kayaked every day which was my first time, and I discovered I loved it! There's a fire pit by the lake with wood provided which we also used. The fishing was great! My husband was very happy and could be found on the dock every free moment dropping a line in the lake. He caught several very big bass. Melissa was very communicative and helpful. Never had a hostess that was genuinely interested in your comfort and enjoyment. Overall, we totally enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Great Lake getaway

We just stayed our second time at this property, the place is great. Very clean and welcoming, just about anything you would want to enjoy the lake is provided. We bring our boat and fish and couldn’t imagine a better setup. Thanks Melissa for taking such good care of us.

Beautiful and Peaceful Lakeside Getaway

Our stay at *The General’s Cabin* on Cossayuna Lake was simply perfect! From the moment we arrived, Melissa, our wonderful host, made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The cabin was clean, with cozy beds, high quality bedding, and a fully equipped kitchen that made it easy to feel right at home. The location is idyllic—nestled right on the shore of the serene Cossayuna Lake. We spent our days swimming and fishing in the crystal-clear water and our evenings relaxing by the fire pit, watching the beautiful moon rise over the lake. The peaceful, rural setting was exactly what we were hoping for, providing the perfect retreat after attending the Farm Aid Concert in nearby Saratoga Springs, just a 40-minute drive away. Melissa’s attention to detail and genuine care for her guests made our stay even more special. If you’re looking for a clean, cozy cabin in a stunning lakeside location, we highly recommend *The General’s Cabin*. We’ll definitely be back! Thornton Family

Lake House

Our stay was very nice , Melissa had many little thoughtful amenities. Kitchen well stocked with utensils. Tea and honey was a nice touch and little gifts in the bathrooms of items that you may need, like deodorant and face wash. Kayaks and life preservers for getting out on lake. The lake is beautiful . It very close to the 4J farm where we went horse back riding

A True Gem!!

What a wonderful lake cabin!! It was everything we wanted. The house is right on the lake and there are a couple of decks to sit, relax and take in the scenery. The host has thought of everything. The kitchen is well stocked with all cooking essentials one would want. Everything needed to have fun is provided - games, DVDs, dart board, kayaks. The house is very clean and well organized. The host is very accessible and answered all my questions quickly. They also had tons of suggestions of fun things to do on the area. What a find!!

Great clean camp, right on the lake.

We went for a fishing trip and had a great stay. The camp is very clean and comfortable. The space is wonderful, with the kitchen and living room sharing space for nice meals together. we are looking forward to another stay. Overall, the camp and the fishing were A+.
