Love this property, been several times with our church youth group.It’s a bit bare bones, but it’s perfect for what it is. Sleeps a ton of people, game room downstairs is fun. Close to lots of great activity stuff. The hosts are fantastic, easy to work with. We’ll definitely be back.

Our group had a great time at the lodge, ample accommodations for everybody, Labor Day weekend’s mild summer weather made an enjoyable stay.

Roomy, cozy, and family friendly!

This was our second year having our annual Family Reunion here because we were so impressed last year. The rental has plenty of room for kids to play, family to gather, kitchen to host entire family meals, private bedrooms with plenty of beds, and an overall perfect place for large groups. The location is convenient for daytime traveling to one of the nearby lakes for hanging out in the water or boat outings. We can't wait to stay here again. We appreciate the great communication with the owner and the ease of booking.

Big space for big party

This is our second time stay here, enough space for our party of 22. Enjoy the big kitchen and multiple rooms. The living room sofa needs some serious upgrades as well as the game room.

Overall the size of the space is what won us over, it was convenient having the whole family under one roof. The table was nice and long with plenty of seating. Con: For the cost of the cleaning fee I wish it were cleaner than it was when we got there. We definitely put in some elbow grease cleaning the inside of the fridge and some of the mystery splatters on the walls. We left the residence in a better condition than it was given to us.I would suggest bringing a HDMI cord and laptop to hook up to the projector, the roku seems like it needs replacing (it glitches). Pro: the game room was a cool area, theres was a lot to do in there.Con: game room smelled like mildew and dirty mop water (assuming this was due to the water drying on the floor when we got there and all windows being closed, mop head also needs cleaning). The hornets nests in the sliding doors made it difficult to air the room out.Pro: plenty of parking space, we fit 6 cars and were still able to use the basketball hoop.

Good for a group

Nice big lodge for large group to stay together. There is lots of maintenance and updates that should happen. The couches are in rough shape, the AV system is a mess (we had to bring our own cords to make it work), the kitchen is big but the appliances and supplies are hit or miss (big fridge didn't work, one microwave was broken, one toaster broken, knobs on griddle will burn you). If you go in knowing what you're getting you can have a blast.

Large group house

We booked this house because it allowed large groups and events. We had 25 people, majority of teenagers for our church summer camp. Worked great. Large kitchen and dining area for everyone. Large area downstairs for games and meetings. Bathrooms: I looked for details in all reviewa and didn't find it. 2 half baths with toilet and sink. 1 full bath (shower /toilet) in the master bedroom.1 large shower room with 3 showers and 2 toilets and 2 urinals. Lots of beds. No AC - owner provides lots of fans. No linens. Bring own. Including dish towelsNo dishwasher. Bring paper products unless you want to wash large groups dishes. Needs more coffee mugs.Right in front of cal trans property, lots of cal trans traffic. Overall. Great stay. Perfect for a bunch of teens. We had loud worship music and never bothered anyone. Tons of parking. Need cell service to contact owner. Att does not work there. Verizon does.

Super fun bring-your-own-bedding place for large numbers of families

We had 5 families coming up for a ski / snow-play weekend with children from 3 - 7. Everyone had an awesome time. The industrial kitchen and massive dining room table were perfect for large group dinners. The stadium couch seating and projector TV were awesome for movie time. I've never stayed at a place with so much fun family entertainment options. They had a massive game room area with four games of Jenga including a 3 foot tall one, two foosball tables, two pingpong tables, air hockey, 3 foot tall connect four, a second TV couch area in the game room, corn-hole, basketball and an awesome outdoor fire-pit perfect for smores. The kids were never bored. This is a bring your own bedding place with a bunch of bunkbeds and mattresses, so set your expectations accordingly. The reasons that I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is that I didn't find out about the checkin process until the day of checkin after calling and emailing the owner a couple times and the check in process ended up being that they'd leave the door unlocked and not give us a key or combination lock. The place is secluded, so it wasn't a big deal. Also, there were no wifi instructions or reception, so we had to have a friend find some random Xfinity wifi signal somewhere nearby to get enough service to email the property manager what the password was. The above are reasonably minor nuances. Overall we had a great time and I would go back and recommend this place to other groups of families looking for a fun weekend get-away.

Perfect for large groups!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay! The lodge was spacious and accommodated our large group. The kids spent a lot of time together and enjoyed the game room. Kitchen was a plus with lots of refrigerators! Lots of great memories made cooking in the kitchen. It would be nice if contract could be sent sooner. We didn’t receive until the day before check in and some of us were already away from home and couldn’t prepare items that were on the list to bring. Communication was a bit slow, but was prompt on the day of check in and during our stay! :) Overall, this place was perfect for our large gathering! We definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a place for their next large group gathering!

Great for groups!

Second time renting here, we came back we liked it so much! Great for big groups. Huge kitchen, great game room downstairs! Easy spot to stay, very relaxing.

Disappointing Communication with Owner After Incident

We had a very unusual experience at this property when four members of our family were locked in one of the bedrooms for close to two hours late one evening. After the family closed their door for the night (not even locking it) their doorknob malfunctioned and a pin inside it locked in place, causing the door to be locked with no way in or out. When one of them tried to open the door around 11:30 p.m. to use the restroom, they discovered they were locked inside. No one in the household could get the doorknob off from either side or get the door opened. Finally around 12:30 a.m. we were forced to call a locksmith who arrived on the property around 1:30 a.m. We had to pay $258.75 for his service, which included not only getting the door open, but fixing the broken knob so that hopefully no future guests would have the same unfortunate experience. When we spoke with the owner the next day, he never once apologized for the situation or the inconvenience it caused to our family, but he did say to send the bill in an email. That was nearly a month ago. Three emails and a voice mail later and still no response or follow up to even dispute the charge and say they are unwilling to pay, so unfortunately it looks like this owner may be as undependable as the malfunctioning doorknobs on his property.

No linen or towels

House is well suited for larger groups, professional kitchen is great, and game room downstairs also. Linen and towels were not included, and this was not disclosed in the listing at all when I made the booking. Received a PDF check in list from the property managers the day before departure that listed sleeping bags as a recommended item to bring, which was supposed to let us know that no linen or towels were provided. Makes you wonder what the cleaning fee covers if not laundry of linen. It was a good thing that one in our party owns a home in Arnold and was able to pick up towels, and we had enough sleeping gear for the rest of the group that we could bring. If there are no linen and towels provided, make that clear at booking, not when the non-refundable trip has been paid for in full.

Awesome place for a group

This place was fantastic. It was easy to communicate with the hosts. We took our church youth group here and the kids had a blast. The game room downstairs is perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot.

Great for large groups!

We had 16 people in the lodge. There was plenty of room for everyone. Big kitchen, great game room. We crossed the street and played in the snow. Will definitely recommend this place.

Beautiful place

My family and I got this place for Thanksgiving. It's spacious and beautiful! The kitchen was huge. 8 of us was in the kitchen at the same time prepping meals. And that's a big deal for us because we all love to eat. Also, the dining table. This was the first time we all eat together at the same table. Everyone absolutely love the play/ game room. The kids were never bored. The only thing I would suggest, is that pillows and towels are provided. Since this place is a bring your own bedding, providing pillows and towels will cut down on guests packaging. Besides that, we had a wonderful time and already planning to book again next year.

Wonderful stay

Our church small group of 23 had a wonderful time during our labor day long weekend. Kitchen is commercial grade, dining table is huge, perfect for our large group. Our kids enjoyed playing various games at the game room. The communication with the owners is open and prompt. And the check in checkout process is easy to follow. One suggestion to the owners is to provide plastic wrap and foil paper sheets. We will definitely refer your place to others.

Loved our stay!

The place was perfect for our cross country team. The kids loved the game room. Lots of space for team meetings in the theatre room. The kitchen was perfect. We hope to bring our team back in the future.

Wonderful!

Shared another long weekend at this lodge, and it was lovely. Memories to last a lifetime. The industrial size kitchen, the large dining table, and the location is great. The best is the caretaker Billy who comes by to make sure we are warm enough and well taken care of, thank you Elements lodge!

Relaxing and spacious

We loved our stay! Our visit in April was the perfect weather. Warm inside with fresh cool air outside. The big kitchen was a plus and very spacious. All the essentials are there but only one small cutting board. The shower rooms had two glass doors which were semi see through and one curtain room. There is a separate room with another shower room too. Bill was very helpful all weekend. Thank you so much! We do expect to return!
