  • This studio is in a beautiful backyard one block above Southern Oregon University. It has a kitchenette with small fridge, microwave, two-burner hotplate, large toaster oven, and plenty of storage. There is a queen bed, a futon that folds out, a flat screen TV with HBO and Showtime, wireless internet, and air conditioning. There is a garden view, and use of the large backyard with an outdoor table. It's in a lovely neighborhood, close to nearby hiking trails and a three minute drive to downtown, Shakespeare Festival, and local restaurants (1.5 miles from downtown.)

Perfect fit.

This property fit our needs perfectly. We made a couple of short trips and it was nice to have a place waiting when we returned.

Perfect getaway

Lovely studio apartment in a quiet neighborhood. Very well appointed with everything you need (and a very comfortable bed!). Host Debra was a delight and made me feel perfectly at home. I will definitely be returning!

Extended Stay in lovely mountain studio

This cottage studio was amazing. The hosts are great people and accommodate any little need one might have. I would highly recommend staying in this wonderful setting.

An Excellent Experience in Ashland

I had a very nice month-long stay at this studio apartment in Ashland. I have stayed in larger rentals, but they didn't have the same warm, comfortable, and well-organized sense of home that this one has. The host, Debra, is unobtrusive, yet always available to address any questions or problems. Great location close to SOU campus, and about a mile from downtown. Could not have asked for a better experience, and hope to find my way back to Ashland and this apartment again soon!

Charming and delightful.

We loved staying here. Already have booked another 4 month stay. Host we kind attentive, but never intrusive. Studio had all that we needed and was very charming and comfortable. Nice view of mountains and trees. The garden area was lovely and private, Can’t wait to return. June and Arturo Pizano

Perfect start to a new life in Ashland

We stayed at Debra and David's studio as a transitional place before we started our long-term rental here. What friendly hosts and a fantastic month to help us relax and land here in Ashland! All communications from day 1 were prompt and responsive. Our hosts were very accommodating in letting us ship some of our belongings to their home ahead of time. Moreover, they were so kind to share their eclipse glasses so we could all watch the epic event together from the backyard! The studio was exactly as described, perfect for the two of us, and had everything in it that one would need for a stay. We cooked almost every night in the well-equipped kitchen! Plenty of storage space, including an extra shed. The grounds were gorgeous and impeccably maintained! The quiet, secluded yard was perfect for lounging, eating outside and admiring the local wildlife. Location is just a short walk to campus and a great coffee shop, and the stroll to town through the neighborhoods is lovely. All in all, we highly recommend the Zaslow private garden studio and are so grateful for our time there!

Light-filled retreat for a peaceful stay

The studio is extremely comfortable, with an excellent bed, functional small kitchen, small table, futon sofa, plenty of built-in storage, and a generous desk. It is quiet and private, with lovely views of their garden. I enjoyed my month-long stay. Owners were very responsive to my requests for minor repairs, extra key for my guest, and anything I needed. Neighborhood is very nice. The backyard garden, right outside my door, beckoned me each day with pretty flowers, flat lawns, sun and shade, a tiled cafe table and chairs. I hope to return to this comfy apartment on my next visit!

Beautiful private studio

I spent 5 months in this studio while I was looking for a house to buy in Ashland, and it had everything I needed to be comfortable and to feel welcome. I arrived in January and it was cozy and warm, with beautiful sunrises over snow-capped Grizzly. Debra and David were wonderful, and I especially loved the very private feeling of the place and the beautiful garden as spring arrived. It is super-convenient to the University and a pleasant walk into town. A great storage unit, a big desk, and comfy furniture make this a great place for either a short or longer stay.

Lovely, quiet place to stay

We spent 6 weeks in Ashland for holiday and enjoyed our stay in this lovely studio where we found everything we needed. The landlords were very friendly and caring. The furnishings were very clean and in good condition. We often used the opportunity to cook our meals in the well-equipped kitchenette. We loved the great view out of the windows on Grizzly Peak, and sunshine was waking us in the morning. The studio is very private, has a separate entrance and direct access to the well-kept and blossoming garden. We definitely can recommend this place and would love to come back.

A wonderful, memorable stay

My family recently stayed at this studio, and it was absolutely perfect. It is located in the hills behind SOU, is in a beautiful and safe location, and included everything we needed. We were able to sleep very comfortably, and visit Ashland for four weeks. The owners were very friendly and helpful. My son talks about visiting our "hotel" in Ashland all the time, and he is 3. We can't wait to go back! I highly recommend this property.

Lovely cottage in beautiful, secluded area of Ashland. More than met our expectations. Owners were very hospitable and helpful, we would definitely stay here again. Only drawback was it was quite a ways from downtown Ashland, but a really lovely setting.

Peaceful Retreat

Ashland is a beautiful place and this studio apartment provided all the comforts of home during my six week stay. Clean and bright with all the accommodations needed. Driving, biking or walking, everything is within a mile and a half for downtown entertainment, restaurants, parks, groceries, laundry, etc. The owners are delightful and available to answer questions and/or make recommendations. Everything in the listing is accurate. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommended.

Wonderful private space, everything you need

This wonderful little apartment is lovingly and beautifully appointed with everything you could need for an independent long stay in Ashland. The owner's Debra and David, were very helpful and kind, and very well organized. The space is very private and quiet. There is space to park, private entrance and use of their beautiful, meditative garden right outside your door. Whether you are taking in some Shakespeare or visiting Ashland for it's wonderful healing and spiritual resources, this is a peaceful haven you can call home for a while. The apartment is extremely clean, has all of the basic cooking facilities (with the exception of a full oven, but there is toaster oven), and is only a few minutes drive to downtown. Highly recommended. I look forward to staying here again.
