Location was perfect for what we were trying to do on our trip. The views of the Acropolis from the rooftop area are stunning. The apartment was nice and clean. Would stay again.

Absolutely fabulous! The apartment has a terrific roof terrace with magnificent views of the acropolis. It is so very clean and well organised. A small but perfectly functional kitchen, a large living room and two bedrooms with comfortable beds. The rooms are quiet. It is in an ideal location for restaurants and exploring. We stayed for a week for our 42nd Anniversary and we had a wonderful time. The hosts were so helpful with instructions and checked up on us whilst we were there to ensure there were no problems.

Great spot for visit to Athens and right near acropolis with many good restaurants within steps from the property. Love the roof top deck with beautiful views. Will definitely stay there again if in the area.

We truly lucked out with this property. The listing was as described and the owner was quickly responsive to our queries. Arranging our airport and port transfers with the owner was simple and extremely efficient. The rooftop patio overlooking the Parthenon was a bonus! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had an amazing time at Evangelos's apartment. The rooftop view is incredible, both the stunning sight of the Acropolis and the outdoor movie theater below. The rooftop has an abundance of outdoor sofas, lounge chairs, a dining table, barstools and a jacuzzi. It literally took our breath away, because it was so nice. The apartment itself is impeccably clean and modern, with all basics you will need, and the beds are so comfy, I think we all got the best night's sleep there. The location is perfect, in a very nice and safe area, walking distance to all of the major sights and lots of great restaurants and shops. I really don't think you could find a better place. Evangelos and Ioanna (hosts) were very kind and helpful and arranged for a taxi pick up from the airport - our driver George was wonderful, and he gave us great advice of where to visit. We booked him again for our return taxi. Would love to visit again someday.

First of all, the location was amazing! Rooftop views of the Acropolis are truly stunning. Also, there is an open air cinema next door that you can look down into, which was fun. On the corner there is a coffee shop and down the street are restaurants, bars, and street vendors. A little further, and you can walk anywhere you want within 20 minutes. Anywhere farther, and cabs were easy to get.One of the bedrooms did not have A/C, so our kid slept on the living room couch. Not a huge deal, but a little inconvenient. The A/C in the other bedroom was fine, but did have 1 night that it stopped producing cold air. The next day it was fine and the owner was quick to respond to our message about it. So hopefully not a long-term concern.We didn't use the kitchen much. It was pretty small and utilitarian. The bathroom was clean and functional. A bit small for 3 people to share, but again not a big deal.Note that the washer/dryer listed in the description amenities is not in the unit. It is on the roof and they will wash your laundry at an additional cost. The location convenience and views from the rooftop are the main attractions, with the living space being just what you need for a few people. Not super luxurious spaces, but since you are out exploring and sight-seeing most of the time, it likely would not matter.I would give it a 4.5/5 if I could, just because of the A/C issues.

Great rooftop terrace

The gorgeous, huge, shared rooftop terrace is the best part about this place, but the apartment is nice enough, with two comfy bedrooms, two small balconies overlooking the street, and a good living area. The kitchen is very small so not great for cooking, but everything else is great, including communication with the host. The area is nice; at least in May it wasn’t super touristy at all, fairly quiet and pleasant in fact, which surprised me given how close it is both to the Acropolis and many excellent restaurants. A good spot!

Location location location

If you like to eat out but stay in for some meals, this apartment is ideal. The roof top patio is spectacular and our driver George (arranged by the host) was local to the neighbourhood so when he dropped us off he pointed out the places locals use (market, bakery, restaurants) Evangelos is responsive and very helpful. Would have liked to stay longer than 3 days.

Hidden gem, great area to stay with beautiful sights

Great views, convenient access to restaurants and the sights. Metro(downhill to the left) and Acropolis(up hill to the right), there is an hop on, hop off bus stop up there too. All are short walks away(10min). There is an open air theater next door too! Communication was good with the property's management.

Perfect location for a visit to Athens

Apartment is located in a quite area, perfect to visit Athen's monuments. We visited everything on foot, no public transport necessary. The shared roof-top terrace is fantastic!! The apartment itself is ideal for a couple of days with 4 people. Thanks a lot!!

If you stay here, you may not want to leave

My wife and I and another couple - old friends - stayed here for four days and were charmed by the apartment and the location. The apartment is as advertised - comfy, with two bedrooms, a light and airy living room with a balcony, and adequate kitchen and bath. The Host, Evangelos, was extremely gracious and helpful. A special feature is the shared access to a very comfortable and inviting rooftop area with seating, tables, and a hot tub - but most spectacularly, a magnificent view of the Parthenon atop the Acropolis, which is magically illuminated at night. We spent several evenings there with a bit of food and wine, taking in the Acropolis, the National Observatory on Pnyx Hill behind us, and the lights of Athens. The neighborhood is residential, not touristic, peaceful and quiet. Even better, the apartment is the first door on a quiet side street that begins at the Grand Promenade, the broad pedestrian walk that takes you around the Greek Agora - the heart of ancient Athens. Going left, you circle broadly past a lovely church on the rocky hillside toward Monastiraki, with an abundance of inviting cafes and restaurants. Going right, you circle under the Acropolis itself to the Acropolis Museum, the entrance to the site itself, and the Plaka district. And almost directly across from the apartment is a path that follows the south side of the Greek Agora to the smaller Roman Agora, Hadrian's Library, and other sites. Overall, a perfect place to enjoy the best of Athens.

Beautiful

This apt was beautiful. Equipped with everything you need. Clean and decorated very nicely. Beds comfy. Super close to the Parthenon, museums, Ancient Agora, Roman Agora. Every sightseeing place is within walking distance. No car needed. Down stairs is an out door theatre. It was super nice. Views from the upper deck was an added bonus. We would recommend this apt.. loved our stay. Needed another night or 2. Lots of restaurants and a few bakeries close by.

zu gut um wahr zu sein

Der Blick von der Terrasse ist tatsächlich, wie auf dem Foto und nachts noch besser. Für Kinofans - im Sommer nebenan Open-Air-Kino - hat durchaus Reiz, von der Terrasse zuzuschauen. die Wohnung war sehr sauber, gut ausgerüstet und komfortabel. Die Lage ist ziemlich einmalig. Wir waren begeistert!

Perfect

Perfect location. Less congested than other areas around the acropolis. Nice walk up to the old observatory, as well as the agora and the ancient cemetery. Several restaurants right by property. Apartment was clean and functional for our limited needs since we didn’t plan to cook or linger. Rooftop deck is wonderful. Had a hot tub but it was too early in season for use but would be great if there during times it was open. Host very helpful and accommodating to our travel needs.
