The apartment was the PERFECT place for our family during our 4 night stay in Athens. The listing looks great... it is even better in person. All standard amenities are present (iron, hairdryer, toiletries, etc). There is also laundry which we were able to take advantage of. The beds are comfortable. There is a SmartTV and a nice Bluetooth speaker. The jacuzzi is amazing... more than once did we end our evening with a drink there while enjoying spectacular views of the Acropolis. We felt safe in the neighborhood (Gazi) and enjoyed a couple of local coffee shops (Mary's), markets (Brownie's) and restaurants (Cartone -- this one is very good). The apartment is about a 25 minute walk (or 1 metro stop) from the historic area of Athens. We did both without any trouble. We did not have any issues with any street noise (other than typical big city noise) during our stay). And perhaps the best thing about our stay were the hosts, Jeff and Katerina. They were exceptional with their communication. They provided clear instructions for accessing the property (download the app, trust me) and operation of the bells and whistles it contains (jacuzzi, fireplace, window shades, awnings). They provided some great recommendations for restaurants and things to do as well. We would stay here again without hesitation and we would recommend it to all of our friends and family as well.

Everything that the listing says at time of writing is extremely accurate. The place is as good as the photos suggest if not better.It's extremely well appointed, the hot tub is fabulous, it's spotlessly clean and some nice touches have been added. You don't need to bring your own bottle opener or washing liquid, tabs etc, it's all there. It is premium, so you should expect it but I've been disappointed before elsewhere with basics not being included.A few notes about our stay: we had an issue with the hot tub mid-stay, and this was resolved extremely quicklyWe went at a chillyish part of year (mid March) so couldn't make best use of the balcony as it was a little windy but note that the hot tub is well sheltered from that. There is a lift which was helpful with shopping and a 4yo boy! The location is handy for the tube, just 4 or 5 mins walk with my little boy. It's a funky area and as the listing says there is noise on some evenings. I guess this apartment would be ideal for those availing themselves of those clubs but it didn't spoil our stay at all, just came as a bit of surprise on the Friday night we arrived :D. It wasn't every night, just the w/eGreat bakery, coffee shop, and mini market less than 100m away. LovelyBathrobes, towels, shampoo and shower gel and nespresso capsules all included. No need to pack that (we had so we left some!)And there's a washing machine too. The views to the Acropolis are all genuine. Didn't get bored of that view

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this vacation rental in Athens! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and comfortable. The hosts were incredibly friendly, responsive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed—including great local tips for restaurants, transportation, and hidden gems around the city.The apartment itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, and exactly as described. We especially loved the balcony with its stunning view of the Acropolis—perfect for enjoying morning coffee or evening wine. The location couldn’t be better: just a short walk to the metro, historic sites, numerous restaurants and coffee shops, yet tucked away in a quiet and safe neighborhood. If you are sensitive to noise, consider visiting in the shoulder or off season. Noise from local rooftop bars and clubs were a non-issue during our stay and we found the neighborhood to be quite quiet. Wi-Fi was fast, the bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped for cooking light meals. Everything worked perfectly, and it truly felt like a home away from home.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Athens!

Jeff & Katrina are super hosts. They really go out of their way to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. They even wanted to drive an hour out of their way to change one AAA battery. I would highly recommend this place.

First I’ll tell you all the good things about this VRBO—there are a lot of them!The owner was GREAT and super easy to contact. They stayed in touch during our stay and were available to help with anything. The apartment is beautifully done with superior materials and craftsmanship. And it’s so clean. It’s literally spotless. The bathrooms were clean. The kitchen was tidy. The linens were fresh. In terms of cleanliness, it was perfect. The neighborhood is what I would call “transitional” but centrally located. We walked to the Acropolis, Temple of Zeus, and flea market with no troubles. It’s super convenient to the Metro as well. For us the only issue was noise. At about midnight every night a few nearby nightclubs get crazy loud until the early morning. Other reviews mentioned a little night club noise on the weekends. For us it was every single night for 4 nights straight. Sunday night was gloriously quiet.Without the noise at night this VRBO would be perfect for us. But we are folks who need quiet to get high quality rest. If you are a night owl, going to be dancing at the clubs until the early morning, or are a heavier sleeper stop scrolling and make a reservation. But if you are a light sleeper you’ll want to look for a quieter area. Despite our difficulty sleeping we are still giving this VRBO 5 stars because it’s literally perfect otherwise. It’s not the owners fault about the neighborhood, we just wanted to be transparent about the noise.

This is a very modern and comfortable apartment. The Acropolis view and the balcony are wonderful, the jacuzzi is clean and refreshing, and the place was perfectly clean and up to date. The communication was also instant- we would text with any questions and got immediate responses every time.There is a corner market right down the street for essentials, and a strip of good cafes and restaurants just a couple blocks away. It was also an easy 10-minute taxi ride to all the Athens sights. As noted in other reviews, there was slight noise from nearby clubs on some of the nights we were there. It didn’t bother my wife or child at all, and I just used earplugs and was completely fine.But I can’t say enough positive things about the owner’s communication and also the sophistication of the apartment. Passcode lock, remote control curtains, electric fireplace, smart TV, air conditioning that can be adjusted in each room for different tastes. This is a great place.

Absolutely Wonderful Stay!The penthouse was beautiful, spotless, and incredibly comfortable, with a stunning view of the Acropolis. There were plenty of great food and drink options within walking distance, and the city center was just a short taxi ride away—very convenient.Jeff was fantastic to ensure everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out through clear and prompt communication. Read the description carefully: This place is amazing and the hosts are truly wonderful people, but the noise really is a major problem on weekends. First the great: The apartment is spacious and clean, the views on Acropolis breathtaking, the balcony and Jacuzzi a joy, the beds comfortable, the location central, and everything feels luxurious. The hosts are some of the kindest and most caring people you'll ever deal with. However, from Friday through Monday morning it's like living in the middle of a club: Despite all the great lengths the hosts went through to reduce the noise, there will be very loud music until 6am on Saturday and until about 4am on Friday and Sunday nights. Unless you can use noise-canceling earphones listening to soothing sounds all through the night, it may be very difficult to get any sleep at all. This is especially a problem for children. I've lived in party districts in Berlin, this is far beyond what I expected. Just be aware of that and know what to expect. You might be excited by all this or absolutely okay with it, and also on weeknights and during the days it's really quiet inside the apartment. Other than this, as noted, it's a fantastic place, and due to the extreme kindness and helpfulness of the hosts, I've decided to give 5 stars nevertheless.

Great place with a couple of hiccups

So many great things about the place- several AC units in the place to customize which rooms to cool off which is great. The AC was off when we arrived so it took all night to cool off the rooms; after that, everything worked great. Hot tub was clean and worked great. Loved the patio and being able to choose which shades to open up. Loved that they left bathrobes to use for either shower or hot tub. Things to know- master shower floor had moldy soap scum which needed cleaning. Pillows were uncomfortable. Area is very safe and plenty of food options. One thing I didn’t know about the area is it’s in a nightclub district. That fact doesn’t bother me. My husband and I go out frequently. But the club parties here are rooftop and rotate buildings nearby. It looks like a fun party atmosphere but it literally sounds like a concert. And it doesn’t end until around 3am. I sleep with earplugs, (and they happened to provide some), but it can be heard inside. My only complaint is I wish it would end earlier. My 12 these old tried to sleep with earplugs. One other thing to note is the shower has a window allowing you to see the beautiful Acropolis with not much privacy. We did close the patio shade but I felt uncomfortable using it. FYI there isn’t a dishwasher either.I hate leaving any negative reviews but these are things I wish I had known in advance or perhaps owner can tend to. Owner was easy to get a hold of. Everything is electronic. Locks are too. Washer worked great.

Amazing all around

Went to Athens on a mother daughter trip and honestly could NOT have had a better experience! Room was gorgeous, clean and 100% as advertised. Getting in and out was a breeze with the app. Agree with the other reviewers that the clubs and music are there every night, but it really didn’t bother us much. Would be the only thing however if you needed quiet to sleep as the music does go on until 3am (and we were there during the weekdays).However, for us, everything else made up for it in spades. ESPECIALLY how above and beyond Jeff and Katerina were accessible before, during and after our stay! Any question we had- about tours, restaurants, getting around- they were right there ready to help.This was my first trip to Athens but it absolutely will NOT be my last and I would 100% be going back to this property!!

An excellent stay and home base to enjoy Athens

The apartment was luxurious and roomy. And everything you needed was stocked - even had bathrobes, which was great to use when going to the jacuzzi - one of the reasons I booked this place. I liked how I was in regular contact with hosts before arrival, upon arrival and during our stay and they responded quickly each time. We enjoyed being in a more residential neighborhood as you get a unique experience with local coffee/pastry shops and restaurants. Jeff and Katerina of Iris Athens Management provided a lot of information in its guest guide and they recommended to us a local restaurant (Cartone) that was one of the best casual restaurants we've ever ate at. There was a full supermarket just 6 minutes walk. A subway station is a mere 2 minute walk and very convenient as only 1 stop to Monastiraki and 2 stops to Syntagma Square and it is fun to take the subway. We are from Toronto and came for school March break - turned out to be a great time as tourist levels are very low (no jostling at Acropolis) and weather is very comfortable (just a T-shirt during the day).

Wonderful stay and beautiful property

We had a wonderful stay. The property is just as described. We walked to the Parthenon and enjoyed the great local food. We’re a family of 5 and the home was well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The hot tub overlooking the Parthenon each evening was a highlight. The hosts were excellent communicators and gave several valuable recommendations. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience here

First time to Athens and came with another couple. Close to Metro station, lots of fun bars/restaurants/nightlife. Penthouse was super clean and comfortable. Communication with host was amazing and ultra responsive. Always looked forward to coming back to the place after long days of being a tourist :). We all agreed that we would stay here again in the future.
