  • This third-floor courtyard condo has a great view of the ocean! The primary bedroom has a queen bed and a 29-inch flatscreen TV. The second bedroom has two twin beds. The living room has a sleeper sofa, a 32-inch flatscreen TV, and a DVD player. There is also a fully equipped kitchen, a private washer and dryer, and free WiFi. The oceanfront complex offers extensive amenities including an outdoor pool with a waterslide, an indoor pool, a hot tub, an elevator, tennis and basketball courts, shared grills, a game room, and on-site laundry facilities. You can see the ocean and the Intracoastal waters all from the balcony.

Great stay

The place was clean and welcoming when we arrived. My family had a comfortable stay. The views of the beach are beautiful. Close to the beach and the pool. Would definitely come back.

Nice well outfitted 2BR 2BA condo w/Q and 2 twin beds close to the pool and beach walkways. APATB amenities make it the best in Atlantic Beach.

Vacationing a week at A Place at the Beach III

The view from this place was perfect: ocean, dunes, pool & slide. Attractive, comfortable living room & dining room furniture, carpet & walls. Nice kitchen & nice bathrooms! Washer & dryer was very convenient.

We love this property and stay often. This unit has a great view and the carpet has been replaced since the advertisement photos were taken. The cleaning could have been a little better as there were food crumbs on every seating surface and dining table. Overall we enjoyed our stay and had no issues. We would stay in this unit again

Great ocean views!!

This condo has amazing ocean, pool and sound views! The property is great with lots to do. Pool, mini golf, tennis, basketball, shuffleboard and much much! The beds were very hard which made sleeping difficult. The couch was outdated and dirty. We would love to stay here again but the beds desperately need new mattresses.

Amazing view, but very uncomfortable furniture and beds.

My family and I have been coming to A place at the beach III since I was 6, I’m 42 now bringing my kids here is such a joy for us. We stayed in 376 and my parents and sister stayed in 371. This unit 376 has not been updated at all. The carpet was fine but the beds are hard as a rock and comforters are old. The sofa looks like it has been there since 1982 and there are iron outdoor patio chairs with gross cushions in the living room. Please update this units beds and living room furniture as it has such a spectacular view! My family loved 371!!

Pros and Cons

What I loved about this unit: View from the balcony was great as it over looks the main pool area and waterslide. You can also see the ocean. The unit was a good size four our family of three. The complex is also a lot of fun for a family with not only the pool but tennis, basketball, putt-putt, and other activities. What I think can be improved in this unit: The beds are all very hard (both guest beds and the master bedroom bed). The front bedroom on the hall could us some curtains as the blinds do not block out the light from the hallway lights, and it is very bright in the room at night. The couch is very old and uncomfortable as well. Normally I would not mention this, but a few days of our vacation it rained and therefore we were in the unit more than we had planned.

Location is great but…

This condo has an excellent view of the courtyard and ocean! Close to elevator and stairwell to pool/ocean. Great layout/floor plan. Also nice to have a washer/dryer in unit. A Place at the beach is always great, pool is fun and the kids love it! Now to the negatives…cleaning was subpar, hair on floors/tub, crusted on food in sink, fridge/freezer was also dirty. This unit is in need of a very deep clean. Outside of appliances were gross and appeared they hadn’t been cleaned in years. Mattresses were in pretty bad shape also and hard as rocks…and I like my mattress firm, thankfully we only had to deal with it for two nights. Sheets very thin and pillows as thin as a sheet of paper. Couch very uncomfortable. Overall we had a great time but was shocked at the lack of cleanliness given this Covid era we all live in now.

Blinds falling off the wall, slider door felt like it was going to fall off the track everytime it was used. Worst experience in regards to a rental, AC was turned off at arrival, should have been the sign it didn’t work. Well 2 hrs after check in it was getting hotter in the room. We contacted for maintenance, the return call around 6-630pm “It’s after hours we are not coming see you tomorrow”. Tomorrow came, maintenance arrived, couldn’t fix didn’t have part and couldn’t get it. Multiple hours consumed of our trip having to be there to allow maintenance access. They eventually brought back 2 portable AC units. They never did cool the unit. Another guest down the hall upon arrival found their unit not cleaned and ready for occupancy. This place does not have there stuff together, book elsewhere!!

Love Resort Condo disappointing

Love the beach and A Place at the Beach is wonderful!!! Two years ago stayed in a different condo and were pleased. Different condo this time and quite disappointed. Was surface clean upon arrival and views were superb of ocean and bay. Couch and pull-out bed is very old and in shambles!! Couch slopes to floor, bed has very minimal mattress . Put sheets on and 17 year old grandson laid down and head portion immediately sloped back to floor. Unable to sleep on and had to use as couch-very uncomfortable. No way this unit should be advertised as sleeping 6 people!!! At least until a decent couch w/pull-out bed are installed. Old rusted metal chairs are being used in living room, ugh! Both sliding door are difficult to use due to rust and crud in the tracks. Stove elements take forever to cook on all the way up to high. Twin beds uncomfortable. Bed in main bedroom appears to have new mattress which was comfortable. For the price paid for a week we were quite disappointed. Expected much better!!!
