The house was clean, cozy, and had all the supplies/items you might need. The lake view is great, as well as the proximity to town. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

A fun, clean place to stay. We took advantage of all amenities; fire pit, picnic table, kayaks, canoe, and outdoor grill. Scenery was awesome, especially from the rocking chairs in the patio. Highly recommended.

Perfect location

This rental is exactly what we wanted. Perfect for a long fishing weekend and had everything we could need. The owner and the property manager were very helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Coming back home

Our stay was fantastic. This house was once owned by my grandfather and we were able to revisit our childhood and all the wonderful memories. What a great experience.!!

July stay

Our second stay, and just a great property overall. Well thought out and well maintained. Property manager is helpful and keeps in touch. This is a nice community to visit, with a lot of options for food and things to do. We hope to come back a third time!

Wedding Weekend

Perfect location if attending an event at Emerson Park Pavilion or visiting downtown Auburn. Property was well equipped with kitchen & pantry items. Cozy inside & very relaxing outside around fire pit. Property was true to it’s listing & property manager was very easy to communicate with. Would stay here again.

Yearly fishing trip. House was everything and more. The house was very well stocked and clean. Only down side, the fish weren’t biting. Maybe next time! Great place to stay, everything is close by. Great time!

Great Lake Getaway!

We had a fantastic stay here as two families of two adults and two children (8-14yo). The house was well equipped with dishes, utensils, oils and spices. There was great water pressure and lots of hot water. We enjoyed a backyard campfire every night and made great use of all the water toys - kayaks, inflatables, and a canoe. Neighbours, owner and property manager were all super nice. Would definitely stay again.

Absolutely Perfect!

We went to Syracuse for my daughter's graduation from college and stayed on the lake in Auburn. It was a 45 min drive back into Syracuse but there were so many cute and yummy restaurants near the house and places to check out. Loved sitting by the lake in the many chairs provided. My oldest two kids took the canoe out on the lake and one of the kayaks and had a great time. The house fit our family perfectly! Zero complaints!

Very nice property!

We had a nice vacation stay at 5686 McClelland. House/Camp was well stocked with all kitchen needs and paper products. The two kayaks and canoe were a plus and the fire pit got some use for smores the last two nights after the rain went away. Our only concern were the steep stairs to the second story, especially for those with a disability or advancing age.

Awesome time!

Thank you SO much! My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful lakeside home. It has everything you could possibly need. We spent our days on the water and our nights around a great fire. We were so comfortable. The beds are great! It was hard to leave. Thank you again!

Perfect Owasco Lake Cottage

The cottage was super clean and stocked with every amenity and extra you could think of. Absolutely gorgeous spot on the lake and extremely cozy and updated. Close to beautiful Emerson Park and Auburn. The property manager checked in to make sure everything was okay and if we needed anything. We. OU isn’t have asked for a better Finger Lakes experience!

Wedding weekend

Our daughter got married and we were looking for a place to stay that was on the lake so we could have our boat with us and also be able to have family and friends join us the day after the wedding. This place was perfect! Only 0.4 mile away from The Springside Inn, where the wedding was held. The house was well equipped for a great lake experience. The owners were very quick to answer our questions. The neighbor was very helpful and friendly. We would stay here again!

Wonderful!

The house was wonderful - great location on the lake, very comfortable, and very well stocked with everything you could need. My wife, who is a good cook, was amazed at all the spices they had. It is close to many good wineries and breweries, and close to Auburn where we enjoyed a great dinner and flights of excellent beers at Prison City Brewery. We used the canoe more than once, enjoyed the fire pit, and fished from the dock. The five of us all truly enjoyed our 3-night stay here. Would highly recommend it!

Great Family Vacation Spot!

This was our first year up to the Finger Lakes for family vacation, and we really enjoyed this home! There were 7 of us which comfortably fit and enough space for everyone. The location was perfect. Close to the Speedway to pick up little things, and the downtown of Auburn was only about 15 mins away. We were able to fish, kayak and swim right off the dock. Backyard was great with a firepit and plenty of space to eat and hang outdoors. There was enough parking for a few cars which was great. Overall we felt the house had everything we needed, and we are looking forward to returning!

Was Absolutely Wonderful

The entire experience was a 12 out of 10. The VRBO manager checked in with us before we even got there, gave us suggestions and recommendations. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The fire pit is right out in front of the lake and the house came with canoes and kayaks (we couldn’t use as the lake had blue algae when we were there unfortunately but would have loved too) I can’t say enough about the neighbors, so friendly on both sides, one even gave us a boat ride. Would highly recommend this rental!

Such an awesome getaway and relaxation spot!

We visited with a group of 7 and this property was more than enough for all of us to enjoy! The owner's were quick with responses and we're lenient enough to let us check-in early because there were no prior renters. The property was really clean and the views were really nice. The dock going into the lake was a great addition and it allowed us to rent a boat and pull it straight up to the house. The shore around the dock is quite sea-weedy, but if you're not afraid of a little soft sand and the seaweed, the water is pretty warm because it's shallow. You can also go deeper into the lake if you rent a boat and swim there! Definitely recommend this property, and thank you to the owners for a great stay!

Summer 2022 stay

Property manager was responsive and helpful. House was extremely well-stocked and maintained and very accurately represented in photos and description. Central air, updated electrical, quality linens and new windows show that its owner invested time and funds. Convenient to groceries, gas, etc. and Emerson Park, which is a nice place to run or picnic with kids. Lake is lovely, clear, comfortable temp, and pretty quiet. Water off the dock is shallow and weedy, but the dock is nice and it's a great safe place for beginner kayakers and paddleboarders. Outdoors is in excellent shape. House was small and decor dated, but very clean with all amenities.

July 2022 Summer family trip

Nice summer lake house. House was well appointed with everything one needs for vacation. The house is older but is nice and clean. Good life jackets. Nice canoe and kayaks. Beautiful fire pit a nice view. The flagpole is in a weird spot as it obstructs the amazing view of the lake. It would have been great to have an umbrella for shade at the picnic table. Unfortunately in the bay there seemed to be some sort of weed bloom and was really a bit unclean to swim. Once away from the dock the lake is crystal clear. Houses are super close together but with next door empty we didn’t feel exposed. Neighbours in area are super nice and helpful. The property manger was very responsive to our questions and provided us with lots of ideas to do nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip.
