PUTAKI BAY VILLAS | Be My Guest

  • The Putaki Bay Villas are 2 designer houses built with relaxed family holidays (or a group of friends) in mind. With stunning views over fields and a vineyard, and access to the private Putaki Bay beach, this is the perfect spot to rest and relax after a busy day exploring the island!

    The villas are architect-designed with top-end fixtures and fittings. Relaxed but stylish living is the plan! Entry is into a large open plan kitchen, dining and living room. Separated from this is a second living/media room, with a sofa bed and a TV with Netflix. The kitchen is very well equipped with high-end appliances including a Nespresso machine, and has a walk in pantry. Both living areas, as well as the front 2 bedrooms, open onto a spacious deck, with a large outdoor dining table, as well as lovely, comfy outdoor chairs, perfect for relaxing with a glass of superb Waiheke Island wine! The house faces north-east so gets great sun all day long.

    To one side of the living room is the master bedroom, with a king size bed, a walk in wardrobe, a TV and ensuite. Off the second living area are the 2 further bedrooms, the family bathroom and laundry area.

    Ideally located, Putaki Bay Villas are on a beautiful estate, close to the Kennedy Point vehicle ferry, and a 5 minute drive from Oneroa Village, with its restaurants, cafes and shops. It is also very close to both the Kennedy Point and Goldie wineries. You can wander down through the property to Putaki Bay beach, which is tidal but a great swimming spot for 2 hours each side of high tide, and a great fishing and boat launching spot. A 5 minute drive away are the other famous Waiheke beaches, as well as a golf course, wineries and cafes. The estate comprises 11 acres so there is plenty of room for beach cricket, croquet or boules.

    Note this property sleeps a maximum of 10 adults or 12 people if a family group with children.

Perfect stay

Absolutely gorgeous property, well fitted out and all the essentials. Great to have two properties to spread across and be able to explore - perfect location it catching the car ferry as well.

Big family group - children dogs this is the place!

Fabulous views of beach, vineyards, and sunrise with lots of room for dogs and children to play safely. Short 3 minute walk to a safe beach that is private so dogs fine. Easy 3 minute drive from Kennedy point ferry and walking distance from 2 vineyards. We loved it.

This place is a super spot when the sun is shining. Not so much if it's raining. U can't sit outside on the beautiful deck as its not weather proff. But overall it is excellent.. Will come back anytime.

Great weekend

It’s always nice to arrive at a property and find your expectations exceeded. We had three family groups for a 70th birthday celebration and the property was ideal. We will certainly be back at some stage.

Fabulous weekend away

We hired both villas to celebrate as an extended family our Father's 75th Birthday. The configuration of both Villa's were perfect and it was easy to move between both of them. Very clean and well stocked with everything you needed. We loved the fact that linen (including towels) were all included in the price. We would highly recommend and definitely book again.

tropical waiheke

lovely setup for a large family group using both villa's, heaps of fun in very usable social spaces made it a very enjoyable and memorable holiday. Waiheke as per usual turned on it tropical weather 19 degrees in the middle of winter !

Wonderful Waiheke Homes

We booked the two homes for a family weekend away and it could not have been a better weekend. Great location (to car Ferry, Matiatia ferry & Oneroa cafe's, restaurants etc) for everyone. Lovely valley vista with a peep of the harbour and made for a lovely walk to the beach. Too cold to swim & a little tidal timing required, but a lovely private location all the same. Outdoor space lent itself to a family game of Kubb and a delicious BBQ on the deck. The home is new, clean and well served with all the amenities & extra's you need for a weekend away. Many thanks to the team for your support to enable us to enjoy a special weekend together. Highly recommended.

Lovely villas

The villas were ideal for our group. Spacious, immaculately clean, well equipped (although mirrors on the bedrooms would be a good addition), lovely rural view. The bird life is great - can see why the villas are named Kereru and Tui :-)

Excellent accommodation

We had a fantastic stay at the Putaki bay villas. It was a birthday weekend with 12 of us girls and it was so nice to have 2 houses to spread ourselves across. Beautifully clean, lovely fresh linen, and the outlook over a vineyard was stunning. Also Easy to deal with which is a plus. Would definitely stay again.

Waiheke stay!

Our stay at Waiheke through bookabach was amazing. The two houses were the perfect amount of space for our group, great location, tidy and gift bags which were so thoughtful. Everyone commented on how nice the houses were, would definitely book again.

Family Holiday on beautiful Waiheke Island

The villas were well equipped for our intergenerational family, comprising 4 couples, a single and a 2 year old. Plenty of room so that we didn't crowd each other, great capacity for preparing and enjoying meals, indoors and out. Wonderful weather (just the luck of the draw, I guess, but it helps) and ease of getting around (we had cars). Terrific bathrooms, the bath was enjoyed by more than one! Decks were great for outdoor living, reading and meals. Very scenic setting also. Overall a great place for a family holiday - our best yet!!

Excellent! Great for an extended family holiday. Location is great from the car ferry. Also to shops and vineyards. Amenities were great and beds comfortable. Loved the walk to the private beach from the property. We will be back.
