Wonderful property management -- very responsive and easy check-in. The beds were comfortable and the living area was well-furnished, however the home lacked an assortment of household essentials (kleenex, bath mats, teaspoons, ample hangers, extra pillows -- plus no toilet roll holder in the primary bedroom). The room we slept in didn't have a dresser; just two tiny nightstand tables. The proximity to the heart of Austin was a plus, though the neighborhood left something to be desired; not what we would consider a 'tourist destination'. We noticed a leak under the kitchen sink and the property manager was quick to respond and corrected the problem. Regarding the aforementioned neighborhood, in retrospect, we wish that the listing included photos of the front of the house and a street view, as that might've influenced our decision on whether or not to book the house. Though, considering that we booked our stay in connection with seeing the the April 2024 total eclipse, it was 'slim pickings' when we looked for lodging options, so our choices were limited. In the end, our stay turned out fine, aside from the miscellaneous shortcomings. And the proximity to downtown worked was convenient for jaunts back and forth. So overall, our stay was what I could call satisfactory for a first-time visit to Austin.
