The bed was comfortable. Very very loud traffic noise from major freeway. Rat trap in kitchen, stains on sofa, large cockroach in bathroom, door lock was tricky to operate, and no communication from management after checking in. Also did not like that there was no broom or fly swatter.

Cat pee

Good location but the place smells like cat pee. It was so bad I can smell it on myself in the airport right now. Decent location but unless you like cat pee don’t stay here

The property is in an area the appears to be in development stage. On one side properties need attention but the other area is very nice and upscale. The appartment was clean however, it was hot and humid and had a musty aroma. Overall, the the location and constant communication with the renter was really great.

Not near "Triangle" as advertised.

Further than advertised. Neighbor possibly not safe. Noisy from I-35-backs onto property. Parking not easily accessible. First experience ever with VRBO.

Austin trip for Eagles concert

Accommodations were as listed. We had a minor toilet issue but the property managers resolved it quickly. They were very responsive throughout our stay. Property was conveniently located to downtown & the venue for the concert. The only negative we had was the bed…you rolled to the middle no matter how you laid on it.

Great Home Base

It was a cute apartment, very clean and the management was very responsive. Close Lyft rides to downtown. A cute walkable neighborhood, hard to access east side of highway by walking but there's not much over there anyways. The bed was super uncomfortable and we discovered the frame had been "fixed" with a log that had slipped out of place. A new sturdier, less squeaky bed is a must. I am an easy sleeper and even I hard a hard time with that bed. It would have been nice to have stools at the island for an eating area especially since we rented so we could cook home meals. They had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook. The shower was a little tricky to turn the right temperature on and was slow to heat up, a new handle would help with finding the right temperature quicker. The management was super easy to communicate with. The code for lock initially didn't work but they picked up right away when I called. We discovered the hangers had been taken by the previous guests but again management was super helpful and ordered and delivered nice hangers within a couple hours. Will definitely stay there again! So cute! Such great management.

The property is a small 1 bedroom efficiency apartment. The surrounding area was a bit old and there was a boarded up house at the corner but the inside was clean and quiet and very comfortable. We walked home from the Moody Center back to the apartment late at night, a 20-30 minute walk (no Uber available after the concert), and the area felt safe. We’d definitely stay here again.

Good place for a couple or a weekend trip.

Overall we enjoyed our short stay. Only two days over the weekend. These are some good qualities about the unit: * First floor, no need to climb stair with heavy luggage. * Private * Comfortable King size, memory foam bed and pillows. * Stocked with spices and coffee. * Mid size refrigerator with freezer (no ice maker, only trays) * Plenty of shampoo, body wash, and conditioner for showers. * Plenty of parking spaces, a short walk from the unit. * Very close to downtown Austin and the Palmers center (about 10-15 minutes by car) Some things to consider: * the floors needed better cleaning, they were dusty. * whenever you enter the unit, there is a smell of humidity. (You ofcourse then get used to it when you stay). * The BLINDS IN THE BEDROOM leave considerable gaps between them allowing a view from the outside to the inside. We covered the gaps with some towels to obtain privacy. * There are no chairs or stools to sit and eat at the kitchen island. Only option is on the sofa with the coffee table, in front of the TV or standing up. * No ironing board. * No washer or dryer in the unit, so make sure to lookup laundromats nearby or ask the owner if there is a laundry room in the complex. (If you have an extended stay). All of the issues to consider were shared with owner. He seemed genuinely receptive to my feedback and will most likely take care of them. Overall, we were mostly greatly satifsied and would stay again. I just want to be transparent with what to expect.

Pros&Cons

VERY comfy bed and well stocked little apartment. Toilet was running and leaking which didn’t really affect the enjoyment of our stay, but was concerning to me. Lots of freeway noise which again did not affect me because I’m a heavy sleeper, but it was a constant. My family came with a prospective UT student. The place was further away from UT than we expected and was not really in a walkable neighborhood. (Closest grocery was a good walk on some busy streets). Not the property’s fault…mine for misreading maps. If you have a car for your stay it would be a great place to start your daily exploration of Austin.

Would Stay Again

Convenient to restaurants, the highway and grocery stores. The mattress was comfortable, but the bed is cheap and squeaks quite a bit. We did have a problem with the bathtub drain; it wouldn’t stop the water, so the bathtub couldn’t fill up. I contacted Brandon and he said they would take care of it. Overall cleanliness was good. I do wish that there had been some chairs around the bar to make eating easier. Other than that, we had a good stay and we would stay again.
