Stayed for COTA ‘24

Property was fine- it was a bed during the busy COTA weekend in Austin. The split A/C froze and leaked water all over the wall and floor on our first night. Called maintenance first thing sat am and left message. Called again sat night after no one returned my calls all day. Received a call Sunday am to schedule maintenance. Repair completed Sunday afternoon, so we finally had A/C for a few hours before checking out. It was really irritating after being outside at the hot racetrack all day to not have A/C. The road to get to the property is rough, need an SUV or truck to access property. Our car would have been damaged if we had driven it on this trip. The house is nice aside from the AC. The property was overdue for pest control.

Misleading

Upon my visit to the location, I found that the road leading to the home was steep and washed out. My truck was barely able to get in and out of the location. Safety was a concern and Austin Property Management was notified. Additionally, the welcome email had listed that detergent would be supplied. The home did not have a washer or a dryer. The dishes were incomplete and dirty. Dirt was on the floor. Water pressure was terrible. There were only 2 trash bags. There were only 2 towels. I notified Austin Vacation Rentals of my concern for the road, questions regarding the washer and dryer, and the lack of towels. Multiple attempts were made to get in contact with the manager. Each time I called, the secretary informed me that the manager was on the phone and would return my call. I never received a call or email from management. I booked this unit for 9 nights. At no point were considerations made to supply this unit for a 9-night stay. Since I could not get a return call, I had to purchase towels, paper towels, trash bags, hangers for clothes, cookware, and spend a large chunk of several days washing clothes at a laundromat. We had to work to make this stay manageable.

Weekend Getaway

Great location for a weekend getaway! The interior was cozy and exactly perfect for our needs. The smaller patio had amazing views of the sunrise and we had our coffee there every morning. I appreciated the pup package of poop bags and towel - we used both. We did have some difficulty figuring out the light configuration. I'm sure if we'd been there longer we'd have worked it out. The casita came loaded with plenty of features, big gas stove, giant walk in shower, and plenty of soap, shampoo, and coffee. All in all, a great spot with great amenities. The roads are no joke. If you plan to go, make sure your car has some clearance. We were in an SUV so it wasn't a problem

Great cozy place

Great place to stay and very nice. The drive into the property was a bit rough due to the many many pot holes we encountered along the way. Lots of. lol places to visit close by. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Great getaway

Perfect for a romantic getaway. Fully equipped kitchen. Nice bathroom, comfortable bed and loved all the outdooor seating along with great fireplace and grill.

COTA ESCAPE

Came to see racing. We have been to the area before and love it. We loved the casita. It was cozy, quiet, clean and unique. One down side; if you drive a car instead of an SUV or truck you might damage your car in the unmaintained road.

Relaxing Easter Weekend

My wife and I wanted a relaxing long weekend in the hill country with a priority on enjoying nature and cycling. This property fit the bill perfectly. We loved the design (lots of windows) and cleanliness of the cabin. The gas fireplace on the back porch was a perfect spot for our morning coffee and the surrounding property was beautiful. We enjoyed the visiting birds and deer each day of our stay. Easy access to the trails around the lakes were perfect for little hikes during the day. Very close to the surrounding wineries and we enjoyed visiting downtown Dripping Springs and Driftwood. If you are into cycling, join one of the weekend rides out of Mellow Johnny's bike shop in downtown Austin. The roads going to and from the property are very rough and got quite nasty with all the rain. Not at all a reason to not enjoy this property, just a little annoying after making several trips in and out.

Beautiful area

Very nice property that is secluded and beautiful. The property is exactly as shown and is small but nice. The grounds around the house and the front and back patio areas are large and nice so you never feel cramped in.

Charming casita away from crowds

Perfect location for me. Well equipped casita and I saw deer (and the creek!) a few times. Great woodsy setting for people who want to get away from it all. Dripping Springs is a dark sky community and the road is bumpy at the end so recommend arriving in daylight.

Weekend Getaway

This is a great property that is in close proximity to wineries, distilleries and shopping. The property was very neat and nicely set up. Great patio with fireplace and nice covered sitting area. Inside is all new appliances and plenty of room for two people. Comfortable bed and the bathroom and shower area are perfect for 2. Maybe could use a small closet added on in future but other than that no real complaints. Nice windows to see out of and observe deer and other small game. We were on the go visiting the area and didn't spend too much time there during the day. We enjoyed our stay and we would definitely stay there again.
