The property is well maintained, the rooms are clean, well equipped and the staff from registration to property maintenance to room cleaning and friendly staff. It was a pleasure staying there. Kudoes to everyone involved.

The place has a bright and very colorful feel yet is a place of peace away from the outside world. Avalon can be a pretty busy place when the cruise ships come in, then you walk up a short alley and forget where you are.

This place is too cute! I was traveling with teenagers and wasn’t sure they would appreciate the rustic charm because we usually stay at fancy hotels, but they absolutely loved it here! Fantastic location, great staff, quirky, cute little place to stay!

Cute bungalows in a quiet out-of-the-way area. The staff was wonderful, check-in was easy, and most importantly, the room was clean. The lack of easy access at the higher tiers was a bit trying with luggage, but the grounds were kept up well and the staff was friendly and attentive. The utilities worked and the beds were comfy despite their age. Linens were clean and the toilets worked. The only complaint would be a lack of door mats to help keep out dirt; the interior, not for lack of trying, got sandy and dirty quickly.

Pleasant, quiet place a short walk to a grocery store and restaurants. Comfortable beds and full kitchen. Staff were very accomodating. Will stay there again my next trip.

Rooms are a little dated, however the location is ideal for exploring Avalon. Vons grocery store is 2 minute walk, so very convenient. The courtyard seating is good for having snacks, wine and card games.

The walkway you see in the pics alone is worth the stay! The units are very comfortable and the kitchen has a gas stove, plates, cups, pots / pans and good size refrigerator. This is all nice because the only grocery on the island is a 3 minute walk (super close!) TV's in every room and the balcony / main entrance has French doors. It's beautiful. The shower is very small, as is the bathroom (unit 14), but serves it's purpose well. There is a 6 drawer dresser, two storage spaces with hangers (in different rooms) and a small breakfast table.

Property is charming with butterflies and flowers everywhere. Lots of steps to get around, so be aware of that. Rooms are a little quirky, but a great value. Managers go out of their way to be helpful! Great service, wonderful stay.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The grounds and patio are beautiful, and the location is perfect! It's a very short walk to the grocery store, and we could walk to the shops and restaurants on the waterfront very quickly. And yet it was just far enough so that we had it quiet on the hotel grounds. A perfect balance! Staff were friendly and helpful as well.

Our two day stay was lovely. We traveled with our 5 and 9 year old. The cottage was cozy and had all the needed amenities. The walk up the driveway is quite lovely with all the monarch butterflies and hummingbirds hanging out, my daughter loved stopping to observe them. Vons just down the street was a plus to stop by for snacks. All the restaurants and stores are well within walking distance. Our kids enjoyed stopping at Floyds in the evening for dessert. We had lounge chairs reserved at Descanso beach one of the days and the walk there and back was very easy. We'd definitely come back!

This property is tucked away int community of Avalon. Close enough so that everything is within walking distance, yet far away enough to not be bothered by the late night partiers of the waterfront bars and venues. It is right next to VONS which makes snack and beer runs quick and easy. Just a friendly warning that most of the rooms require a flight of stairs or two to access. Other than being a little dated, the rooms are cozy and peaceful.
