We were welcomed by Steve and Heidi when we arrived and shown to our room which was very clean and well laid out. Breakfast was superb, quality food and well cooked. The staff were very friendly. Parking was easy and on site. The Bedroom and Bathroom could benefit from a shelf to put toiletries on. We would definitely recommend Hills Farm and we will definitely return too. Really lovely location, fantastic views over the surrounding countryside. Room was good & nice to have a bar & restaurant onsite too.

A great stay, warm welcoming, friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. Lovely big breakfast to start your day and beautifully prepared meal in the restaurant after a long day.

Lovely last minute overnight stay. Room was perfect, comfortable and very clean. Staff were so nice and nothing was too much trouble.

What a beautiful hotel!

Our Accommodation was beautiful, clean and very well equipped. We stayed in the Luxury Ground floor Apartment.

When booking the room online I stated that we needed a room to accommodate two adults, one child and a dog. After I booked it a new page popped up informing me I had booked a non refundable twin room and that a third person over the age of two would be charged as an adult plus extra charge for the dog. The intension was for a one night stay at the cost that was quoted which then increased significantly afterwards to allow for pet and child. I called the farm and explained what had happened hoping they may be able to help but they blamed on the website I had booked it through and those policies and said there was nothing they could do to help. I should have booked directly with the farm! Indeed I have learnt my lesson, still it made us feel a bit like we had not been given the correct and honest information when booking at the time, only afterwards. Felt like I had been taken for a fool. Disappointed and costly night

The room was beautiful and it was nice to have separate bedrooms and a fully stocked kitchen with big refrigerator. Grounds are beautiful and it was a quick drive down to Lyme Regis where we spent quite a bit of time enjoying the coast.

The staff were excellent, accommodation was super and food really tasty. If you are staying for just one night bring toiletries and milk etc for making a hot drink as neither are provided.

With two dogs, we appreciated the safe and scenic spaces to walk around. The Bark Park outdoor field, with its sandpit and climbing equipment, was brilliant. Overall, we couldn't fault anything. The restaurant/food was perfect. Thank you. 😊

Good stop over

Great location perfect for night stop over. Has everything you can possibly need bed was cosy the room was warm. Shame about the snoring below and woken up at 6am by noises from other units.

I called a few days ahead of our stay to let them Know that my daughter was celebrating her 16th birthday on that day and if they could do anything special for this. They said they couldn’t as they only provide champagne for adults and they are very busy so won’t have time. I suggested maybe a small card and a few chocolates just as a welcome gesture. He sighed and seemed annoyed I had pushed the point. When we arrived I noticed the carpets in bedrooms were very obviously stained and worn out. Looked disgusting to the point where I didn’t feel like walking on them in bare feet. No hand soap in the main en suite bathroom or any shower gel or shampoo which I expected. When I contacted them they said they don’t offer shower gel or shampoo for self catering accommodation. I have never experienced these basics not being provided in any other self catering accommodation. There was a noticeable crusty stain in the corner of the shower in the main double bed en suite and cracked tiles on the floor on the shower room. The side table light shade was also cracked on the inside and this showed up clearly when it was turned on. There were spiders webs in and around the windows which should be easy to spot and sort out. There was no fan on the kitchen which was really hot when we arrived. There was a window we could have opened but it was locked shut. There were no keys to open them. When I asked if they had them they said they would find out but never did get back to us. £250 /ngt

The room was lovely and perfectly clean, but the towels were old and not of a standard I'd expect. The fire escape light shone all night in the room - recommend bringing a mask to sleep!

Stayed in suite, facilities fine but was one of the warmest weeks of the year and the room had only a small opening skylight. There was a floor fan but still stifling. That the only criticism - staff friendly and went the extra mile. Nice relaxed stay apart from the stifling room temperature. If not so hot would have been five stars.

Shocking

A few converted barns in the middle of a working farm. Still run by the farmers. A luxury apartment was awful. Stains on the floor and mattresses. Cobwebs and dust everywhere. For £250 a night. AVOID!!

Ok but could be so much better

Came here for a weekend getaway but didnt quite meet up to expectations. It was labelled as a luxury escape yet lacked basics such as milk for a cuo of tea on arrival or shampoo and conditioner. We stayed in a studio but found there werent even wine glasses yet there was a cork screw, and there was insufficient cuttlery as if things had gone missing and hadnt been replaced. The room wa snice enough, but the bed spings very noisy whenever you moved and the room was very light in the morning easpecially given there was a small glass pane in the door that couldn't be covered. We also found that the noise from other units travelled easily and we could hear people laughing downstairs. Location was great however and lots to do in the area. The other things to note was that there were a couple of larger groups that were quite loud and so for a couple looking for a quiet break it wasnt the place for us. However, if your a group lookkng for a place to all stay it might be perfect for you.

Lovely grounds but filthy room not cleaned!

Lovely location and pretty, well maintained grounds. However, our room was sadly really dirty for a hotel which isn’t budget. It definitely hadn’t been cleaned from the previous guests. There was tobacco on the floor and the shower and sink were honestly gross. We were scared to even use the towels. Ran a wipe over the bath and the wipe was black. The bedside tables weren’t so much as even wiped. Tv didn’t work. Such a shame as we had a baby with us who wants to crawl everywhere so it made it a pretty stressful stay. Should’ve read the previous review as it echoes the same. I honestly hate to be that person to leave a bad review but in this case it was more than warranted. Didn’t bother going to tell the reception as it seems the previous person who complained didn’t get anywhere.

Cranberries Hideaway is a hidden gem in the heart of the countryside, and a stones throw from Lyme Regis. The owner is the nicest man, super helpful and accommodating. The rooms were beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Would definitely recommend this B&B which also offers self catering too.

Fantastic place for our overnight stay. Polite, courteous and professional staff. Lovely location with view of Axe valley, conveniently located near Lyme Regis. Will definitely return.
