  • Tucked away behind the main thoroughfare with an outlook over the church Corner Cottage is perfectly situated for exploring all of the Derbyshire Dales.. 2 steps to entrance.

    Ground Floor:

    Living room: Freeview TV, DVD Player, Woodburner, Pull Out Bed (Single) (Flexible Sleeping Only)

    Kitchen/dining room: Range, Microwave, Fridge, Dishwasher

    First Floor:

    Bedroom 1: Double (4ft 6in) Bed

    Bedroom 2: Double (4ft 6in) Bed

    Shower Room: Walk-In Shower, Toilet. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial fuel for wood burner provided. On-road permit parking for 1 car included, 10 yards. No smoking.. With views over the church and surrounding countryside, this pretty cottage lies just a short stroll from the centre of Bakewell with its specialist array of shops, pubs and restaurants. Furnished to a high standard, it retains many of its original features and offers a comfortable holiday base for exploring all that the Peak District has to offer. Dove Dale and Monsal Head are but a short drive away, together with Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House which provide interesting days out. There is wonderful walking locally as well as cycle trails for pleasant gentle activity. Ideal for horse riding and golf. Shops 200 yards, pub 150 yards.

Great location! Could be alot more guest friendly, ie keys should be in key box, should not have to call a land line to get check in information, there was no guest manual... furniture and furnishings feel very tired and overall needs a good makeover but the property has alot of character and the location is great and the owners were friendly over the phone.

A lovely 18th century stone cottage with well proportioned rooms and a shared back courtyard with the very helpful neighbour who allowed us to use his recycling bins. The kitchen had a large 7 ring hob and double oven. An extra couple of saucepans and larger mugs would be useful. Cosy and very near the town centre. Helpful to have a visitor parking.permit. Basic hand soap and shower gel.provided. Tea and biscuits provided. Bring.your own.provisions. A very nice base for seeing The Dales.

Great location, shame about the...

Very pleasant, well-decorated house, plenty large enough for the two of us, in an ideal location. Only criticism is the kitchen equipment - PLEASE provide kitchen scales, 2 x glass-lidded casserole dishes, a large slotted spoon, and a frying pan spatula. Then, five stars!

The cottage was clean and well located for Bakewell town facilities and for good walking in the area

The cottage was clean and well located for Bakewell town facilities and for good walking in the area. The owners made some changes to accommodate our needs and we had everything we needed for our mid week mini staycation. The cottage is on a hill and we did have to park in a two hour slot and move our car to get permit parking on one evening. This was not a problem for us and the cottage and wonderful weather made for an enjoyable stay and much needed break. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Myself, my husband and our son have just returned from a week's stay at Corner Cottage, and also our very first Christmas away! It is such a delightful cottage and has everything you need, so many home from home comforts. Superbly situated, only a 10 minute walk into town. Lovely views of both the hills and the Church. Lots of local attractions, I personally recommend Chatsworth House. We only struggled to park once, but it was Christmas Eve, and it was very busy. Thank you for the welcome bottle of wine, much appreciated 😊 Would not hesitate to return again 😊

Lovely cottage in Bakewell. It was very close to the town centre down a hill. Everything was lovely although TV signal not great. Nice bottle of wine on arrival and parking permit was very useful. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Lovely cottage in the heart of beautiful Bakewell. A few housekeeping issues such as a broken coffee pot and lightbulbs going but really a perfect base from which to explore the Peak District. One note if you have small kids, the church bells ring late into the night and start early in the morning!

Great cottage in a great location.

Great cottage in a great location. It was very clean and is well maintained. The walk into Bakewell is just a few minutes. Make sure you take enough clothes to manage the lack of washing machine. Would recommend and hope to return again one day.
