“We stayed at this house for 5 nights over Christmas and would have stayed for longer if we could have. The house is in a peaceful, beautiful setting on a property shared by a couple of good-natured geese and some chickens, and having fresh eggs was a bonus. The large kitchen is well equipped and enabled us to cook a 3 course Christmas dinner for the family, which we enjoyed on the wrap-around verandah. “Beautiful house lovely location, Poor communication . Had a very stressful time trying to get hold of the check in details. Also no milk, T bags small quantity and old no sugar, coffee old and moldy. No welcome basket as per photos on site. As this house is not cheap per night small things mean people come back or not.”

“The Farm in Applethorpe surpassed our expectations. It was clean, quiet and very relaxing. A great way to escape from the fast paced and stressful everyday. Great for small kids as well. We were able to pet and feed some cows through the fence which made our 3yo’s day.”

“Excellent location, great sized property for 4 single adults. Huge bedrooms. Fully equipped kitchen. Fabulous hot water 😁. Only negatives were the garden could do with a trim and there were a lot of cobwebs on the windows/ frames. Bit creepy as I don’t like the thought of spiders darting about. Not that I saw one 🤔. Overall - very happy with the property.”
