The house felt like a sauna the day we arrived. Literally. It was 87 degrees when we walked in. The house is partially open air- which was not listed in the description. I have a heart condition, and coming back to a place with a regulated temperature where I can cool off is essential to my health. There were only AC units in the bedrooms, and with the doors closed, it was able to get very cool, but the living space was WAY too hot to spend time in, cook, etc. Of course Costa Rica gets very warm. I anticipated that. I did not anticipate the house being hotter than the outside during the day in the main living area. I know this is how Tico’s live, and I love and respect that. However, for your average tourist, this place is far too hot to stay in.
