Ballyshannon - the oldest town in Ireland
We arrived late after a long drive from Galway through the gorgeous county Mayo and Passed through Sligo town for a meal.
Access to house was easy, Patrick communicated ahead of time, and checked we were in the following morning.
The house suited our needs - two families with a mixed age range.
Situated a decent walk from Ballyshannon we’d booked believing it was a house nearer to Bundoran and this I’d recommend altering the listing a little? However, after an explore of Ballyshannon we found the wonders of the Thatch and went along to the Wednesday night sharing of songs, stories and poems with local people which was top notch!
Discovering the Rossnowlagh beach was perfect and although the weather was poor it didn’t dampen our spirits.
Communal kitchen and eating was good, could do with 8 chairs rather than 6 chairs and two stools? Bedrooms all comfortable & clean. Only suggestion is some upgrading on the bathrooms as showers were poor. We’d definitely recommend for families and enjoyed our stay. Thankyou!
