Very nice place to stay I have stayed twice for work. It’s a very quiet place, well maintained, beds are incredibly comfortable. One of the best part is each unit has an apartment size refrigerator/freezer.

I love the location and concept of the motel, but the renovation of this place is cheap. Our bathroom was kind of gross in that it appeared dirty especially in the corners and in the shower. The main room was small but very cute and being able to park right outside the door is a plus. Also, a nice, easy walk into town.

We really enjoyed our stay! This was our first visit to Balsam Lake, and we'll definitely be back. The room was very comfortable, the bed was great, and the location was excellent. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Troubles unlocking room door. The manager is remote, but a friend of manager who was staying at the lodge reached out to him who remotely unlocked our door. Room was small, two plastic chairs to sit on besides the bed. Appeared clean. Figured out ac unit. Nice tv.. A few nice decorations on walls Bathroom very small. Shower is approximately 2 1/2’ square. My travel companion who is 6’1” barely fit and couldn’t turn around. The shower liner was stained and dirty. Would have liked information about the town and businesses in room

I booked 3 rooms for 2 nights for our fourth of July weekend stay back in April only to find out on check in day that we had no rooms to check into. My payment was taken out of my account April 6th received a confirmation letter and all and was not given my 3 rooms. When I called the property she stated she saw my reservation but needed to call me back. After waiting 30 minutes I ended up calling back and was told that Expedia and their property's calendars didn't sync and I was basically out of luck. 1200 dollars I spent on 3 rooms for 2 nights and not even 1 room was available. I was given no options or no help just that they would send a refund within 7-10 days. I had 6 children with me and myself and my husband with absolutely no place to stay and still out 1200 dollars. I called back time after time and no answer. I sent an email and still no response. This was very unprofessional and very infuriating. I am very disappointed in not only the business itself but the lack of responsibility, and communication from the owners of this property.

Our stay was comfortable, room was clean. There is no ice machine on site so plan accordingly. There is not an office onsite, plan on Self Check-in only with call support if you have issues with your door code.

Room was clean but there were stains on the fitted sheet and a pillow cover. Not a biggie, nothing a little bleach can't fix, but, still quite obvious. The bed was the best part of the experience, it was comfortable, huge and the pillows were supportive and not paper thin. The AC is a gangster. Cooled down the room in a matter of minutes, probably because it was quite small. User error being as I didn't look to see the size of room before booking. The complimentary water bottles in the fridge saved us! Super convenient check in and check out .....BUT..... finding the code was pretty challenging even though it was at the beginning of the check in message. This is probably because I am a millennial and expect to see the words "The door code to enter is..." NOT just an emoticon next to a 4 digit number followed by detailed instructions. Overall, the room was INCREDIBLY overpriced ($200 per night) for the size, lack of amenities (not even a soda/snack vending machine) and clear instructions. They also offer a "free" coffee mug ONLY IF you leave a 5 star review. This weekend was my wife and I's 6 year anniversary and we would have loved to have had a free coffee mug to remember it by, even if the lodging wasn't a 5 star Hilton experience. Apparently the normal rate of the room is $265 dollars. That price is outlandish for the quality.
