Secluded mountain house with good location to all the local attractions. While the house itself was as described some areas were a bit different than anticipated. The lower bedroom was off of the garage which made it feel cold and uninviting. No one wanted to stay in that room. It also smelled heavily of mildew. The house itself creaked loudly which made sleeping difficult especially the first night as we were adjusting to the new environment. The house was perfect in every other aspect and the rental company is easy to work with. I just felt I wish I knew how loud the house was and the bedroom situation before booking.

Great cozy cabin!

We had a fantastic stay at Skylark! This cabin was so cozy and was more than enough space for 5 people. The bedrooms are thoughtfully laid out and everyone had their own private space. We loved the firepit and sat by it every night. The property manager was so responsive via text for any questions we had. We loved the location of this cabin and will definitely be back!!

Birthday Trip

My husband and I and my husband’s best friend chose a NC mountain stay for this annual trip for these men to celebrate their February birthdays. This cabin exceeded our expectations and truly felt like home for the week we stayed there. We enjoyed all of the amenities and would recommend this property to others.

Great family getaway spot

The Skylark cabin was a great place for our family. More than enough space for our adult family. Many laughs were had at the dining room table. The cabin was spacious, clean, warm and inviting. Close to Boone and the many activities it offers. Would definitely book again if we head back to the area. Thanks for the memories!

Perfect Space

Skylark provided an amazing stay! The house was just the right amount of cozy and spacious. And was in the perfect location to downtown Boone while also feeling secluded and in tune with nature. The hot tub was an excellent perk as well!

Reunion in Banner Elk

What a fantastic long weekend in Boone / Valle Crucis / Banner Elk area with my Delta Sigma Phi fraternity brothers from NC State. I chose to stay at Skylark with 2 others and the cabin was just amazing. Super location, the house layout and furnishings were top shelf!!!! We could not have been happier! I am ready to rebook Skylark for next year or prior for a mountain weekend.

Perfect getaway

Had a great stay at Skylark. Property was clean and had all that we needed. Would be helpful to have a few more towels though. The pics online showed twin beds and a full bed in the loft area but what was there was a day bed with a trundle which was fine for what we needed. Everytihng was in working order and we would definately stay here again!

Peaceful winter retreat

Immaculate and cozy. Kitchen very well equipped. Hot tub perfect and a protected from the elements. We grilled every day. Very quiet and peaceful place to watch the snow fall and the deer wander through each morning. Isolated but still an easy drive to in Boone, Banner Elk, and the ski resorts.
