  • Ready to hit the upper slopes or relax on the deck enjoying the mountain view? Serenity Overlook is a beautiful 2 bedroom condo in The Reserve atop Sugar Mountain. The home is near Banner Elk with proximity to Blowing Rock, Boone, Appalachian State university, restaurants, and shopping. Grandfather Mountain and the Blue Ridge Parkway are within a 15 minute drive.

    The Reserve offers paved, flat parking for easy access. Down one flight of stairs you'll find the entrance to Serenity Overlook. Once inside, the long range views off the deck will immediately catch your eye. The living and dining areas allow you to watch the mountains while enjoying time with friends and family. The dining table is set for four, with additional chairs including 2 at the bar. The kitchen has sleek, black granite countertops and newer stainless steel appliances. A standard coffee pot is ready to kick start your morning. The large basin sink and dishwasher make cleanup a breeze!

    The living room sofa pulls out to a queen sized sleeper sofa, and several chairs surround the gas fireplace and large screen TV. Open the sliding door and enjoy the cool mountain air. Table and chairs give you a place to dine al fresca or just relax with a glass of wine.

    Serenity Overlook has two bedrooms and two full baths. The King Suite has its own deck access with the best of the views. This bedroom has a TV and attached bathroom. The bath has a large soaking tub, double vanity, and a tiled shower with glass door.

    The second bedroom has two twin beds and a TV. There is a second full bath with a tub/shower combo that opens to both the bedroom and the living area.

    * All linen and towels provided for your stay
    * Please note that this is a lower level unit accessed by external stairs.
    * This home is not pet friendly. Thank you for not bringing pets into this home.
    * Main roads are plowed in winter, but 4WD or AWD vehicles are required November-March, and chains may also be necessary to access all properties in winter months.
    * Check In is after 4pm, checkout by 10am.
    * Max of two (2) cars are permitted at The Reserve.

Highland Ski Weekend

We had a wonderful time staying at the Reserve #9-D for a ski weekend. The condo was clean, well stocked, and roomy! Looks even better in person than on-line. The location was fabulous, as it's just a few minutes down the mountain to the Sugar Mountain Ski Resort. Also, there is a short path that you can walk that opens to a black diamond run (Tom Terrific) for advanced skiers. The high mountain views were beautiful from the back deck. We would be glad to stay again!

Amazing view

The property is clean, lots of storage & well stocked. There is a large deck but the table & chairs are in bad shape so we opted to eat inside. The view of the mountains is spectacular! There were a few issues and I was disappointed to not reach a live person. My emails were addressed by a statement that it would be forwarded to someone else… . The tv issue was never resolved. The AC went out on our last day but in all fairness I didn’t let them know until the morning we left. I would stay at the property again.

Big snow weekend!

We had a great stay in Sugar Mountain over MLK weekend and were lucky to have been there with the area getting 20" of snow!! This made for a incredible ski weekend. This condo was great. Nice and clean and perfect for our family of four (including two kids 5 & 7). Really enjoyed the gas log fireplace which kept us quite warm. The condo is in a pretty convenient location but it is near the top of the mountain with views of Sugar Top from the back deck so you do have a short drive to get up and down the mountain. If snowy weather is forecast be sure to have a 4WD vehicle. They do plow the roads and the driveway up to the condo so access was pretty easy even in bad weather. The provided snow shovel helped as well. We needed to add a night or two to our reservation and Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals was easy to work with to make that happen. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Fabulous time!

Beautiful views and convenient to town. Located on the top of the mountain and only a few minutes to town. Everything was perfect. Beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the gas fireplace. Would definitely stay here again!

Serenity Overlook was AMAZING!!

My family and six year old daughter booked this property for a weekend getaway for some skiing, tubing and much needed family time. The property was perfect for us. The viewed from the back patio were breathtaking. My daughter loved the bedroom with the twin beds with stuffed animals on the beds and in the room. The condo was beautifully decorated and was perfectly located to all the ski resorts and tubing and the new alpine coaster (which was our favorite) only minutes away. I can’t wait to stay again.

Snow Getaway

Property looked exactly as described. It felt secluded at the end of the cul de sac, which we loved. We really enjoyed walking through the trail to play in the snow. We enjoyed riding the sled provided. It is very windy and cold in the area at night. Plenty of convenient parking directly in front of the condo with easy access to the Unit. Less than 10 minutes to grocery stores, skiing, tubing, restaurants and more.
