We really enjoyed our stay at BeechBum Bungalow. The condo was super cozy with a nice, soft carpet; comfy, oversized armchair with Ottoman; updated kitchen; two spacious bedrooms and two nice bathrooms with amazing, hot water; cable and Internet; a wonderful outdoor, mountain-themed ambiance; and beautiful, peaceful deer outside. We also loved the convenience to Beech Mountain Resort for skiing and that our dear, yellow Labrador was able to join us on the vacation.

Great place to stay! We got "stuck" in the parking lot due to a neighboring road being too icy but we were able to pack up our ski equipment and walk. Great place to stay and had everything we needed. 10/10

Disappointing

Property was clean and comfortable inside but the exterior was unsafe and in a state of disrepair. Parking was inadequate, gravel drive full of potholes and no path for emergency vehicles. Deck railings were broken - didn’t feel safe. Animals had chewed through the exterior walls and eaten electrical wires.

Cute and comfy, but a bit dirty

The apartment is adorable and very comfortable, with a great location and good views of the mountains (in winter). We had three main issues with it: misleading ad, cleanliness, and poor communication. First, the ad mentioned that the apartment had two king beds. It doesn’t. It has one king bed and two twins. That was only revealed when I got the check in instructions, that said a converter would be provided. It wasn’t. Second, when we arrived there were two big trash bags by the door. Inside, the microwave had splatters of tomato sauce all over, the oven had crumbles, and whoever vacuumed had clearly done a bit of a rush job. Third, and honestly worst, there was ZERO attempt at correcting any of that. I sent a message regarding the trash bags, then another about the dirtiness, and all I got was a bot saying they were sorry things weren’t perfect, that they would put me in contact with the local manager. Never heard from them, despite repeated messages. Now, granted, it was December 23, but if you are in the hospitality business that’s not really an excuse. The check out instructions said to take the trash to the dumpster behind the building (which wasn’t exactly easy to find because it’s in a different street). We ended up taking the trash bags along with our own to the dumpster. The dumpster was really gross with trash strewn all around it. Not something a paying guest should have to deal with. Sadly, I wouldn’t go back, despite the apartment being super cute.

Great weekend get away!

We booked this place for a quiet weekend getaway with our dog. Great view of the mountains. Nice and cozy. Property as listed! A view of the deer grazing each morning was a plus! Would definitely recommend.

Mom and Daughters Trip

We had a great trip! It was perfect location for skiing. We even got snowed in and were able to walk. Also a local business let us park there when we could not get up the snowed in driveway. The condo was beautiful and clean. Views were fabulous. The only thing I would ask is please fix the master bed. If you sit at the end of it it will fall in. The footboard was broken off I even tried to fix it but could not get it. My girls said the decor reminds them of Hobby Lobby:)

Had small problem with tv in the living room.

The condo was beautiful. The only problem we had was the tv was broken in the living room. I called and the person I spoke with said " We have had problems with that tv for weeks." Well, that tells me it needs to be fixed or replaced. He told me someone would be in to take care of it the next day. So we wasted 1/2 a day waiting for repairman to come. After 2nd phone call on day 3 or our 4 day stay they got it replaced. Then, we could not get any channels only Netfik. We watch Nascar and football games. So, we still had to watch in the bedroom and we only had 1 tv to watch. I made sure the condo had 2 tv's before I booked it. So, the whole mess with the tv upset us. I wish the hold thing was handled better. Thank you!! Teresa Green

Non responsive property management company

The unit at least inside was nice. The buildings exteriors are under renovations. They had not started on this unit yet but the others appear nice. The exterior renovations are much needed as the decking leading up to this unit are rotting and in poor shape. One staircase leading up to this unit was blocked off due to it being unsafe. As I mentioned, the inside of this unit was nice and updated with one notable exception. The master bedroom sheets were not clean when we checked in. I put them into the washer which was available in the master bedroom. When the sheets were done I started putting them back on the bed and the footboard of the bed fell apart. The way it fell apart looks like it had fallen apart before and looks like it was never put together properly to begin with. The dowels that connected the footboard together were not glued. We tried over and over to put the bed back together but it just fell back apart and made the the whole bed unstable. I immediately called vacasa when the bed first fell apart. After a long wait, I talked to someone who was not local and they said they would get someone local to get in touch with us to take care of the issue. I guess vacasa is some property management company on the west coast. We never heard back from anyone. No call. No text. No email. No one stopped by. In the meantime there are four of us and two beds, with one broken and unstable and at the beginning of our stay. We had to relocate our 7 and 8 year old to the master bedroom since they weighed less and then try to put the bed back together every day. Still haven’t gotten a call back from vacasa. Anyway I wouldn’t recommend this place because of the bed and will try to avoid any properties managed by vacasa in the future because of the non responsiveness.
