“Room was very small with creaky floors and very noisy overall. Elm balcony room has a shared balcony which wasn’t specified so I had people talking and hanging outside my room and could see inside my room. This is expensive hotel and I would have expected better rooms but given it’s and old building I guess that’s too be expected. Overpriced for what it is. Staff and service were excellent so that was positive. ”

“A comfortable stay at this modest motel. Everything worked well and the rooms were clean. Area was quiet day and night with a nice countryside feel. It was a means to an end really as there is limited accommodation options in Picton. The distance from town was too far to walk and taxi options are very limited. There is a nice restaurant attached with great dining options of good quality and reasonably priced. ”

“The recent renovations are the reason we choose for this stay. The lobby, restaurant are all beautifully done. We stayed in a freshly renovated suite. Rooms are very large and has a nice outlook of trees. We were met at entrance by welcoming staff who showed us the hotel and room. But as a 5 star hotel, there are lots of things below our expectations. On the 2nd day of our stay, we hang the label to clean the room in the morning. “The staff are friendly on arrival. You just pick your keys up at the pub sports bar and go to your room. The room was very clean, and had most things provided. At night it can be a little noisy, but not too bad. A microwave oven in the room would make it complete.”
