- This luxurious 3 storey vacation home is located in the beautiful Friday Harbour Resort, in Innisfil, ON. The town home has been upgraded with state of the art appliances for the residents comfort. It is a corner unit, with Glass stair case. The resort itself has a variety of resources to keep everyone entertained during their stay. Our overall stay at the property was very good. The location was perfect for what we needed. The harbour is immaculate and very well looked after. It would have helped us to get instructions or a map to find the property. But we found it eventually.
The size of the property was great. It was a good space and I really liked the lay out.
The bathrooms were beautiful. Definately the best features of the house.
Within regards to the property specifics, I feel for the price we paid to stay here for two full weeks, it could have been a little cleaner. Some of the floors were a little dirty, the windows looked like they hadnt been cleaned in months, the top level seating area was un-useable because of the amount of bird poo that was on the decking, some of the towels were stained, and the plates / bowls in the kitchen were unclean. The house overall needs a little bit of TLC with its finishes. And it looks like it needs freshened up.
The only real negative, is that the property wasn’t child safe or practical. So having a toddler with us on holiday was difficult because there were no baby gates, high chairs, or child safety precatuions put in place. So that was a little difficult.

Nice resort, but very subpar rental unit
I wrestled with whether to leave a review or not because, although our experience at this VRBO rental was very disappointing, I don't like tearing down well-intentioned people. I hope this review serves as a counter to the impression created by the high rental price, nice pictures, and decent rating score.
To summarize the issues with the rental: 1) Cleanliness, 2) Poor Maintainance, and 3) Unresponsiveness/lack of communication.
Our stay was for 4 nights, and our family was eager to settle in and begin enjoying the facilities. When we arrived, we had to wait 20-30 mins for the owner to email us the access codes. These details, along with a house guide and other helpful info, are normally provided days/weeks in advance. When I reviewed what the owner had sent, it was clear they intentionally left the access code and other normal check-in details off the "Welcome" email. I tried calling the owner to no avail. After spending several minutes on the phone with VRBO customer service, the owner finally sent what looked like a hastily typed message with access instructions.
When we entered the house, it was clear that the house was not prepped for us -- it was neat, but it felt very dirty, especially if you looked closely. We spent the first couple of hours cleaning - washing all the dishes and counters, laundering the linens, and washing the shower. There were many things we overlooked, like empty cans in the garage and broken knobs, but it was not the experience we expected.
