The Hay Trailer

The Hay Trailer is a hand crafted wooden cabin built on a reclaimed hay trailer. It is a cosy, light and homely space situated in the sought after destination of St Catherine's, an area of outstanding natural beauty, very unspoilt and private.

Guests have exclusive use of a private hot tub for an extra fee of either £100 for us to clean, fill, light the burner and stoke it to get it up to temperature for you, or else you can light and stoke it yourself for the extra cost of £75.

The space is open plan living and sleeping space,
with a comfortable Kingsize bed,
There is also a bed for extra guests, for a small extra cost of £25.

The bathroom has a double roll top bath, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are all provided.
Fully functioning kitchen with hob, and a 'Sage Smart oven Pro' oven and fridge/freezer.

Oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, tea, Earl grey tea, herbal teas, coffee and sugar are all provided., and milk on request.
Flat screen television with Freeview and Roku.

There is a private and spacious outside deck with seating and views where guests can relax and enjoy the surrounding garden and countryside and soak up the peace and tranquility of this special, unspoilt place.

There is a Japanese style Ofuro wood fired hot tub set within the private garden of the Hay Trailer, next to a private terrace and seating area.

Please let us know when you book whether you would like to use it for an additional cost of either £75 to have everything made ready and you light it and get it up to temperature yourself, with instructions; or £100 for us to light it and get it up to temperature for you on the first evening of your stay.

It's worth bearing in mind that it can take a few hours to get it up to temperature if you’re planning to light and stoke it yourself.

This cost covers your whole stay, you may like to light it yourself on consecutive day’s during your stay. There may be a small extra charge for wood used after the first couple of uses if you’re staying for a longer period and use it several times.
It’s a good idea to bring flip flops or slippers to get from the cabin into the hot tub, it’s not far, just across the external decking just outside the Hay Trailer. Robes are provided for the hot tub.

Within the Hay Trailer's private garden there is a herb garden that you're welcome to take from for your meals, any and hedging for privacy.

There is also a fire bowl and grill with logs provided for an extra cost of £15, for guests to use as a barbecue, or simply as an outside fire for warmth in the evenings, for a spot of star gazing.

The Hay Trailer is set in a private garden which is 3 acres of beautiful wild garden/woodland. We live down the drive from the Hay Trailer, and there is another holiday let and house on the property, however there is enough space for everyone to have their own private space and garden.

There is a private parking space below the Hay Trailer with a short walk up to it.

There is a choice of 2 Pubs 2 miles away (in Marshfield) selling good food. There is also a fish and chip shop and Indian take away 2.5 miles away in Batheaston.
All linen is provided.

The Hay Trailer is strictly a non-smoking property. Guests will be fined £150 for smoking inside the premises.
Guests are encouraged to bring slippers to be worn inside the Hay Trailer to keep it a serene and clean space.

Guest access
Guest are welcome to explore the surrounding gardens, whilst respecting the privacy of others living on the premises.

Other things to note
Guests will need to read directions and screen shot/print this off before entering St Catherine’s valley to avoid getting lost as phone reception in the area is patchy.
