  • You’ll never run out of things to do when you book a holiday at this wonderful cottage, set on 40 acres of beautiful farmland. The accommodation has been awarded Gold in the Self‑Catering Accommodation category at the Devon Tourism Awards 2025–26, and it’s a great choice for a family getaway in the heart of the Devonshire countryside, yet within easy reach of sandy beaches and fun attractions. On the site itself you can keep fit in the heated indoor pool or the gym, relax in the sauna or set up challenge matches in the games room. Take the little ones to the outdoor play area or the indoor soft-play, or let them pet the donkeys and cuddle the guinea pigs and rabbits. Hop in the car and head for the seaside at Bude, 17 miles, or to Dartmoor, also 17 miles, for hikes through rugged scenery. For a great day out, The Big Sheep and the Milky Way Adventure Park are both within 16 miles.

    The former grain store has enormous character, with double-height ceilings, slate floors and exposed beams, complemented by carefully chosen furnishings and a serene colour scheme. Step through the patio doors into the open-plan living space, where sumptuous sofas invite you to relax. On cooler evenings you can light the open fire as you catch up with your favourite shows on the Smart TV. The adjacent dining table is ready for hearty meals and raucous board games, and the kitchen is equipped with all mod cons, including a Nespresso coffee machine. Also on this level are a double bedroom and a family bathroom. Take the stairs up to an impressive landing with a vaulted ceiling, off which leads another bathroom and the remaining three bedrooms: a double with an en-suite shower room, a twin room and a bunk bedroom perfect for little ones.

    Adding to the excellent facilities at this superb property is a safely enclosed garden, with areas of lawn and a large patio with picnic tables. Plus, a hot tub can be hired for an additional charge. As the children play on the trampoline, adults can grill up some delicious local produce on the BBQ and relax in the sunshine. You’ll also have the benefit of private parking for one car.
