This was a great home for multiple families to stay at together for vacation. There was plenty of space and things to do and lots of options for kiddos. Plus the house and neighborhood were so quiet! Other pros: comfortable beds, well-stocked house (beach towels, life vests, an SUP available for use, games toys, etc), a great yard space for both dogs and kids, and a super nice primary bathroom upstairs. The cons of this stay were 1) the internet connection was spotty at best so when one member of our group had some online meetings, it made it very difficult 2) there was no covering on the window in the kitchen area and the next door neighbor kept staring in at us (we put up a sheet to block this out) and 3) though it is easy to drive to lakes and state parks, Trails End Lake has no beach area or anywhere to sit near the water. It was great for putting in a SUP and would be great for a fishing boat I imagine, but we were hoping to be able to easily go out to the lake and just hang. In order to do so, you have to drive to one of the state parks nearby and either have a Discover pass or pay the day use fee. Beside being on a lake or the canal, there isn’t much to do here so this is a great place if you’re really wanting to be away from it all. Overall, this house was great and Trails End lake really is lovely.
