I sent this feedback to the host privately with no intention on posting online. They responded graciously. Then they charged my card for over a 100 randomly weeks after our trip with no communication or explanation. Only after being questioned about the charge was I offered "an invoice", but still no explanation. 1. When we arrived, all the doors were unlocked, 2 were simply left wide open, and the lock box was open with no key. We later found the key in one of the open doors. This was pretty unsettling.2. The amount of dead bugs around the house was pretty gross. We're not clean freaks but I had 5 in plain sight on the floor in my bathroom alone. It was clear the house cleaners did not do much of anything aside from change sheets.3. The only showers that worked well enough to actually use were on the basement level and only if no other water in the house was being used at all. This was very disappointing for a group trip. Water also didn't drain. (The photos below are just one bathroom)4. It was pretty frustrating to be offered twice about adding entire days onto the trip yet not being able to check in early/late to accommodate house cleaners who didn't clean.
