- Rose Cottage is the former gardener's cottage for Spital Estate House. It is an attractive two storey cottage set within its own garden in a very peaceful and rural location in the Scottish Borders. There is an abundance of wildlife just outside the front door of the cottage and guests can expect to see deer, badgers, squirrels and several breeds of birds.

Beautiful cottage, in lovely location
We had a wonderful stay at Rose cottage, beautiful cottage , welcome basket was lovely . Everything was provided, cosy with comfy beds. Lovely, quiet location, great base for exploring Northumberland and Scottish Borders Will definitely return.

Pictures don't do this property justice!
Lovely cottage, was expecting something quite basic but it was very spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. Garden is beautiful, very peaceful setting. We had a wonderful time.

Stay at Stable Cottage
The cottage was in a lovely rural location but with good links to both North and South. The cottage itself was in excellent order and the welcome gift from the owner was a lovely (and tasty) bonus.

Absolutely would come again. Charming, beautiful, quiet, clean, fully equipped. Host was helpful when directions on listing weren’t quite clear…don’t follow the pin! :) Beds could be more comfortable but didn’t take away from our stay.

The cottage was excellent and provided more equipment than we could use. Brilliant bed, shower etc. The situation was perfect, private and well off the road in the grounds of Spital House. We are happy to recommend it to others as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic cottage in beautiful quiet rural location
Extremely comfortable and well furnished and equiped cottage in grounds of large private house. Surrounded by greenery and wildlife including hares and deer. Just 10 minutes drive from beautiful walks along River Tweed or Berwick town centre. Great place to relax. Friendly owner readily available but no problems
