Children will love the the donkeys Margot, Mavis and Elvis they are a favourite with vistors to Blegberry, and the large play field is the perfect spot for them to let off steam. The famous sandy surfing beaches of Westward Ho! and Bude are an easy drive and for family fun, the Big Sheep and the Milky Way adventure parks are close by. There are numerous National Trust properties in the area, as well as the RHS gardens at Rosemoor and Docton Mill. Clovelly with its quaint cobbled streets and picturesque harbour is a must. The village of Hartland is just 3 miles and has a good selection of village shops and pubs all serving good local produce. The historic port of Bideford with its lively market, Lundy Island ferry, array of shops and other amenities is just 15 miles. Golf, fishing, sailing, surfing and horse riding available locally.
