I don't like to write negative reviews. It's not my nature to put things out there that may hurt someone else. It's January and our stay was in August and VRBO has asked for this review so I'm going to try my best to be as honest and objective as I can.First, the property itself is in a beautiful location and is roomy. The lake is wonderful and there is plenty of space to spread out. The photos are representative of the place and accurately show you what it's like. Just a nice place.On our drive up the owner texted me to say the cleaning person had called off and then told us where we would find supplies and clean linens. We were driving from central Indiana and had an 8 hour drive, then were expected to clean and make beds? Upon further discussion he did it himself. When we arrived it was clean and beds were made and everything was more or less in order.The second day I got a text asking if we were having a party - we were not. The third day my son-in-law saw a mouse. Then another. I texted the owner, he told me to set out traps. Then there were two more mice, and we felt we could not finish our stay. We left a day early, stayed in a hotel, and went home. We contacted VRBO and were issued the partial refund we requested - it would not have been right to ask for a full refund.
