We rented this property for a Father's Day fishing/Hiking trip. The property is located in a quiet neighborhood in Big Bear City away from the bustle of the tourist areas. It allows for a peaceful getaway with access to all the attractions just a short drive away. The neighborhood itself offers some great little shops, bakeries, etc.
The house is a mix of modern and classic, it has some updated features such as a modern kitchen and living room, and an awesome wood stove that adds to the feel of the mountain vibes. The decor is welcoming and the house offers plenty of space for everything other than dining as a group. It worked for us since we don't mind standing or squeezing close together around the spacious countertop. I loved the master suite and our children (age range 12 thru 24) were all happy with the accommodations. The house has almost everything you need to cook a nice meal. It has a lovely porch in the back. My only warnings would be the following: It appeared the house had been untouched for several months so there was a musty odor upon entry. We opened up the windows and doors and used some air fresheners which helped. Lastly, we were going to bring our Lab to this property as it was pet friendly and we inquired if the yard was fully fenced in, we were told yes, IT IS NOT FENCED IN. Luckily for us, we did not bring the dog with us. However, it gave us a lovely view of the open lot behind the property, the squirrels, a variety of birds, butterflies, and trees.
