Great location

This is our second time staying here. The location and pool are the biggest draws for us. The layout of the house is also perfect for two families and kids.

Nice roomy house and Convenient location

House was nice and the pool/ping pong table and video game were fun amenities. Short walk to the bowling alley and The Village. We had the pool heated and the kids enjoyed swimming.

Slightly to almost very disappointed

The property itself is amazing. Unfortunately, we had a lot of issues. The most important ones were as follows: The fridge (not cold enough, freezer acted like fridge), mattresses of twin bed bunk beds were lumpy and most beds were flimsy. Only the king bed was in very good shape. all others need to be replaced. One of the showers wasn't draining properly. One of the shower heads was loose. A few light bulbs were busted. Lamp over dining table not clean. It had spiderwebs on it and you could see other spiderwebs coming down from the ceiling. The fire pit didn't work properly. The gas line was broken. Avantstay did send a handyman out to address all issues but there was only so much he could do. I did get a little bit of a refund for the inconveniences but not enough to take the sour memory out of my head.

Great Location but needs some TLC.

We came for a family reunion. The house had the perfect number of rooms and bathrooms. The pool table, ping pong table and arcade games kept the teens busy. The indoor pool was great for the kids. Location was perfect to do all the activities. We had an issue with the AC unit but that was taken care of promptly by the property management company and they were quick to respond to any issues we had. As far as the house, except for the dining room table, every piece of furniture needs replacing. The couch has no support and you sink in and can not get out. Two of our guests have back issues and were only able to sit on the floor. Each bed is uncomfortable. You can feel the springs and the dips. The ladder of the bunk beds was broken making the bed unuseable. The bar stool chairs were leaning and grandma fell off of one (thankfully she didn't hurt herself). The refrigerator wasn't turned on until we got there and never got truely cold. We had to buy ice for the freezer because it also didn't make ice or freeze anything. The front door knobs came off and it, along with the exterior patio doors were not secure. Upon arriving for our stay, there was still trash in the bathroom on the floor and nerf gun "bullets" around the house. We also found some kitchen utensils in the couch our first night. All in all, if all the furniture and refrigerator was replaced, we would stay there again due to the pool, space, and location.

Disappointing at every turn

From the time we arrived at the property we had issues. The cleaning person allowed my elderly grandfather to place his belongings ga inside the garage and proceeded to lock the garage and we did not have access to his medication or special nutrition required for his condition. I called 3 times to get the matter resolved and was finally, after 2 hours) granted access to extremely important items . Had he been told there would be no access to the garage he would not have placed items within. There were 4 lock boxes on the property and it was a hassle to find the keys for the front door. After entering the property we found that the pool was not heated, asked for access to the heat and got a payment request of $$$ to heat the pool. AFTER paying this fee to heat the pool we were shocked to find BLACK MOLD along the entire back wall (by back door) of the pool room. Paying to heat a pool that was clearly not safe to use with our elderly guests as well as small children was unacceptable. Beyond that the pool stunk of mildew horribly and we pulled two big balls of black human hair from the waters. To say it was a stagnant and filthy is putting it lightly.. I expressed all our concerns to the property management and was meat with very little compassion at all .They did not care one bit and only offered a credit for a future stay.. WE WILL ABSOLUTELY NEVER be using this site again and make sure any future rentals are NOT managed by AvantStay.
