I følge vores kvittering har vi betalt for halvpension (valg board), men vi blev opkrævet 15 USD for aftensmad og 10 USD for morgenmad per person. Det er ikke i orden.

En natt räcker här

Man ska alltid läsa senaste recensionen, missade att den var från 2023. Jag tror att dom har gjort så bra dom kan. Men täcker tyvärr inte för högre betyg. Bodde 30/12-1/1, två nätter med nyårsafton mitt i tänkte vi var coolt. Att sälja med en ”night walk ” och en heldag safari per natt är helt obegripligt. Vi var på safari en halv dag, vilket var bra safari men fullt tillräckligt eftersom det finns en viss begränsning hur många elefanter man vill se. Jag bokade även ett ställe med WI-FI då det var nyår och vi har barn och familj i Sverige som vi ville ha kontakt med. Fungerade inte, personalen erbjöds sig att vi kunde få låna deras telefoner och internet dela. Kanske inte just det vi menade. Eftersom jag hade bokad allt här fick jag snällt betala 560 dollar för två nätter med Safari fast vi ej utnyttjade med än 1/2 dag och lämnade på nyårsafton för ett ställe som hade nyårsfirande. Förstår att det är svårt att ge pengar tillbaka när man bokat via tex här. Men snälla, sätt ihop nåt annat paket ist, rekommendera en natt, se till att det finns varmvatten. Har man varit på tält safari i Afrika så vet man hur det kan vara. En lite tillbaka betalning hade varit en sjysst gest.

Un séjour de 2 nuits parfait, tente impeccable et plutot luxieuse, accueil très sympathique, feu de camp le soir charmant avec chamallow barbecue pour les enfants. Safari magnifique et remarquablement organisé, prenez la journée complète, ça vaut la peine. Personnel aux petits soins.

best laid plans

As it turns out, we did an inadequate planning job for this part of our trip. Big Game is a tent complex intended to combine lodging and "safari" activity. We had arranged the latter separately at a different venue, and looked to Big Game as a fun lodging alternative. While it offered much more luxury (e.g., bathrooms, some electricity) than might be expected while camping, it wasn't exactly plush, and with the additional complication of heavy rain, the overall experience was less than ideal. There seemed to be some confusion about our reservation (two tents), as Big Game was initially unprepared for the two children in our party. Staff was gracious and anxious to accommodate, but little hitches caused some unnecessary confusion. We spoke with other guests who seemed to confirm that a more comprehensive plan on our part would have produced a better experience. At the same time -- a number of nights in a tent during the rainy season is very different from the same nights in a hotel room.

特殊的體驗

很特殊的體驗，在sri lanka享受有如在非洲的感覺。Manager 行前介紹很詳盡，Full board的安排讓我們能完全體驗在帳篷與營地的氣氛。 晚上的營火晚宴令人印象深刻，大家圍著營火靜靜的與自己同伴吃著晚餐。早晨的 Udawalawe Safari 園區內也提供經驗豐富且努力讓我們看到動物的嚮導，直接從園區出發省去了接駁浪費的時間。 看完了大象，回營地整裝check out 的時候，竟然讓我們看到雌雄一對的孔雀從我們帳蓬門口經過。即使洗澡設備畢竟是在營地，無法如旅館般完善，但是也很舒適了。床很軟，晚上伴著星星與蟲鳴入眠。在這裡我跟我同伴都留下了美好的回憶

Great staff, but By no means luxury

Was not a luxury camping experience as advertised, more tent with a toilet and that’s about it. Fan hardly worked and the room was filled with creatures. Toilet area stunk as there was no trap to waste to keep smells out. Shower didn’t work, but as a plumber I managed to fix it, was clogged with gunk in shower head. Food in the evening could have been excellent as setting was great surrounded by fire, but unfortunately the food was cold and pretty average for the price paid. Safari was the highlight but you can get a taxi to the park entrance and save yourself a lot of money. The staff was great, shame the rest was poor

Nature stay

Beautiful camping stay. Take all the contacts possible if you travel to this place independently as it is not easy to find. Suggest asking for assistance on how to get there from the hotel before you go. Food was excellent, tents very good as well, staff very polite and helpful.

Great stay! Excellent staff and service. We had a beautiful dinner on the property at night. We arrived very late at night and the staff we very accommodating towards us, they scheduled a slightly later safari so we could sleep in.

Fantastic camping experience

The Big Game camp was everything we expected, quality Glamping. The staff are extremely accomodating and will help with any requirements you may have. The traditional Sri Lanka meals, breakfast lunch and dinner are as good as the restaurants we've eaten at, very very good. Dinner starts around a fire pit, and the moves to a romantic table for two under the stars near one of the big central park trees. It's great to star gaze in a country environment where there is so little surrounding light. If you're looking for a glamping experience I'd highly recommend staying, but recommend you try to stay in an off peak period. Over Christmas it could get pretty busy.

Belle expérience de campement sous tente de luxe, très bonne cuisine et bon petit déjeuner. Dîner devant le feu de camp, très agréable. Idéal pour le safari de Uda Walawe

ENDED UP NOT STAYING!

Arrived via our hired driver with my partner and nephew. The person in charge greeted us and said you should have called. I said I did not understand that we needed to as it was already paid. He said you have three people? I said that is what I reserved through Expedia. The staff hurried to get us drinks then placed us in chairs in a make shift pavilion to go over the facility guidelines. He (the leader) stated that there is no tent for our driver and I would have to pay for him to stay at a hotel outside the camp. After he exhibited a pompous attitude, we decided to eat the cash and leave. Was very uncomfortable with his attitude. We are VERY easy going travelers but he made us feel unwelcome.

Fantastisk safari i perfekte rammer

Perfekte rammer for en spændende safari med fabelagtig god guide.Vi så masser af elefanter,mongoose,spotted deer,vandbøfler,rovfugle,parakitter,fik gode historier,guiden var utroligt vidende og kendte alt til dyrene og fugleneog,området og Sri Lanka. Her var smukt, rent, masser af god mad i romantiske og afslappende rammer - en fantastisk oplevelse. Dejligt at bo tæt på naturen og dagen for safarien var vi på en lille lokal tur med guiden.

Daktari feeling

Wir hatte eine Übernachtung in dem Camp und wurden sehr positiv überrascht. Ein herzliches wilkommen und eine leckeres BBQ unter freiem Himmel am weiß gedeckten Tisch am Lagerfeuer. Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Den morgen haben wir in begleitung eines Rangers mit einem 'Natur-walk' gestartet, was sehr intressant war. Nachmals vielen Dank an das Big Game Camp Team!
