    Nestled between the Scottish broadleaf woodlands, quiet in its charm, lies the cosy Ferry Lodge. Sharing a rich history with the famous River Clyde, once the home of an old Ferry Master. The lodge offers everything from access to a private beach, magnificent views of the famous Erskine Bridge and direct access of Boden Boo Park. Enjoy a warm cup of hot chocolate in front of any of the indoor fireplaces or spot the exquisite wild life from the cosy window nook. Perfect for a slow life getaway. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS PROPERTY IS NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN UNDER 13 YEARS OF AGE.



    The Space:

    Surrounded by history, woodlands and water, Ferry Lodge is a perfect escape away from the business and noise of everyday life. Located just 20 minutes from Glasgow, the property has been thoughtfully refurbished to create a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests to unwind and appreciate the finer things life has to offer. On the inside, Ferry Lodge features 2 bedrooms, an open plan kitchen and dining area, living space with a large window nook to enjoy the scenery, 2 working fire places, gym, yoga space and working area.



    The interior of Ferry Lodge is inspired by the previous occupant of the quaint residence: the old Erskine Ferry Master. Paying tribute to the hard work and importance of his role on the River Clyde and its pivotal role in the Industrial Revolution, driving global maritime power and shaping the identity of Glasgow and Scotland.



    On the ground floor, guests will find a charming king-sized bedroom, the bathroom, an open-plan kitchen that flows into the dining area and cozy living room. As you ascend to the upper floor from the master bedroom up the spiral stair case, the allure continues a yoga studio and a designated desk area providing an ideal workspace for those needing to stay connected. An additional double bedroom is comfortably located above the kitchen area.



    Outdoor Bliss:

    The property has a secure garden and garden furniture to enjoy the sunny rays of summer or the wintery scenes in our colder months. Guests can revel in the tranquillity of rural life while enjoying beautiful views of the River Clyde and also enjoy private access to the beach.

    The dining and kitchen area is the perfect spot to gather and share meals, featuring modern appliances and dining space for everyone to enjoy. It's also an excellent setting for family celebrations or cosy evenings with loved ones after a day of exploration.

It features a well-serviced train station with direct routes to Glasgow, making it easy for guests to explore nearby cities. The award-winning Marr Hall hotel and spa, only 2 minutes away, allows guests to indulge in spa treatments and enjoy a round of golf, enhancing the overall experience.

    Guest Access:

    Guests will have full access to the entire property throughout their stay, including all rooms and amenities. Check-in details, including access instructions and key collection, will be shared in advance via our electronic guidebook link to ensure a smooth arrival.



    The property is located next to the Boden Boo public park and is popular for dog walks, joggers and locals admiring the beauty of the Scottish Woodlands.



    The Neighborhood:

    The property is in a rural setting yet only 5 minutes from Bishopton and 20 minutes from Glasgow city centre. Bishopton is a charming village nestled in the Renfrewshire region of Scotland, approximately 15 miles west of Glasgow. Known for its picturesque landscapes and friendly community, Bishopton offers a blend of rural tranquillity and easy access to urban amenities.



    The village is characterised by its peaceful residential streets, lined with a mix of traditional stone houses and modern developments. It's a popular choice for families and commuters, thanks to its excellent transport links, including a well-served train station with regular services to Glasgow, and proximity to the M8 motorway, making it convenient for travel to nearby cities and towns.



    Bishopton is surrounded by lush greenery, with numerous parks, woodland areas, and walking trails that are perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. The nearby Erskine Bridge offers stunning views over the River Clyde and connects to additional scenic spots. The village also has a rich history, with remnants of its industrial past still visible, particularly in the form of the old Royal Ordnance Factory, now redeveloped into the Dargavel Village.



    The 5 star Marr Hall hotel and spa is located just 5 minutes from the house. Guests can arrange access for spa treatments and rounds of golf.



    The property is well placed for guests wanting to visit Loch Lomond. It takes approximately 25 minutes by car from the house to Balloch at the head of the loch.



    Getting Around:

    Due to the rural setting, guests would benefit from having a car during their stay. The property is located only 15 minutes from Glasgow international Airport and 20 minutes from Glasgow city centre. The house is also perfectly positioned for guests wanting to explore Loch Lomond and the surrounding area. Balloch, which is at the head of the loch can be reached in 20 minutes by car. If guests do not have access to a car we are able to arrange a driver service for an additional cost.



    Other Things to Note:

    Cot and High Chair are available for rental. Please let us know if this is something you may need for your stay.



    Please note that the property is not suitable for children under the age of 13.



    Please note, check-in is not available on 25th December and 1st January.



    We do not host parties, hen or stags. For insurance purposes, the lead booker must over 25 years old.
