We stayed for a few nights to enjoy a quick esacpe from the Texas heat. The house is in a great location. Elevated enough for cooler temps while still being close to activities. The house was very comfortable and met all of our needs. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Beautiful place to stay very comforable

The only reason I gave 4 stars overall is that there wasn’t anything in the check in about how to turn on hot water or heat. We finally figured it out with the communication between the property manager and she was very helpful!

Snow Globe Birthday Trip!

We were looking for a remote place to celebrate our February birthdays and this was a perfect spot. We had an 8-month old, 2 and 4 year old and the house was great for them too. Hosts are super responsive. We had everything we needed to cook at home, entertain the kids, and space for our two families to spread out. Only thing you should know for sure is that they aren’t joking about needing 4WD to get up the driveway!

Location was great, minutes away from Black Hawk and Central City. Property is spacious and clean with more amenities than we could have asked for. We really enjoyed our stay!

Clean, Fully Stocked and Relaxing

The house was very clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. The hot tub was great too. The garage was perfect for storing our vehicle. The neighbors are closer than we expected but it still was quiet and relaxing with a great view.

Great location

We loved the property and its location to many of our activities we had planned. The house is very clean yet, a little worn. Some of the beds need changed out and furniture is showing its wear. The kitchen supplies are basic but we managed to cook at least one to two meals a day. Check in was super easy and the host was available to answer questions quickly. The hot tub was a relaxing evening under the stars. I would recommend this house for ease, cleanliness and spaciousness. Black Hawk is a beautiful place and recommend a visit.

Great Location for Hikers! (+ Great Communication)

We had an awesome stay at this VRBO. The Top 3 things we liked: 1) Location to Excellent hiking spots! (We hiked many times at Golden Canyon State Park - About 8 min drive from VRBO) And really nice view of the mountains from the upper deck which allowed for some great sunrises and storm watching. 2) Wonderful communication from host. We had many questions going into our stay and while we were at the VRBO and the Host/Team answered our questions Fast! 3) Great place for all ages. We had a group of 6 adults and 1 toddler and this was a great spot to fit our needs with a toddler joining us! Would absolutely stay again!

Mountain Vacay

The place was absolutely perfect. Beautiful surroundings and a more that comfortable place for our family to enjoy. There were several little touches that made the stay even better - like all the light switches were labeled, the kitchen had all the tools needed to cook meals and the terraces took advantage of some great star gazing. Our host was always on point for communicating. Great place to stay!!

Mountain Retreat

The house was very secluded and quiet. The amenities were very good. There was lots of seating in the family room for everyone to spread out. The kitchen was large and well equipped for all of our needs. The master bedroom and bathroom were very large and inviting and the other bedrooms had plenty room. We enjoyed our stay and will book again when in the area.

Mountain Memories

The host was great and communicated with us every step of the way. The home provided a great place to hang out with family and a jacuzzi that gave our bodies some rest after hiking. Overall highly recommended and would love to visit in the future.

Moose in the yard!

The very first day we saw a moose in the yard! Loved the house. Had plenty of room to spread out. There were smart tv’s in the main room and master bedroom. There were lots of games to play on rainy days. No a/c but we didn’t need it since it was cool when we stayed. The beds were super comfy and the sheets were so soft. They provided lots of extra blankets for the cool nights. We had a small issue with the drain in the shower and they fixed it immediately. We found everything we needed to be able to cook for our family and the large kitchen table was perfect for meals and game nights. There were so many ways to access the house from the mountain roads. One day we went by a camp ground near the home and saw a family of moose. The views when driving from the house were gorgeous. Home was remote but there is a Shell station nearby for gas and grocery store in Nederland, Otherwise we stopped in Golden before coming up the mountain. Would highly recommend the home.

A Great Escape!

The booking process was super easy and flawless. The property owner was quick with any response to our questions. The property itself is so amazing, so modern and spacious, with all the amenities you could want but still feel like your in the middle of no where. Hot tub, fire pit, and all the benches throughout the yard are a perfect touch. They even have a garage to keep your vehicle safe! Will always book this property for a get away.
