A perfect mountain escape!We had a wonderful stay at Cecil’s Chair. The cottage is cosy, beautifully styled, and thoughtfully appointed with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. The views are stunning - especially at sunset - and the peaceful surroundings make it easy to unwind. A perfect base for exploring Blackheath and the Blue Mountains.

Cecil’s Chair was a delightful place to stay with a truly wonderful view and everything we needed for our stay. The gardens are also beautiful. We will be back for sure.

A great long weekend with family

For a holiday house it litterally ticks all of the boxes for a family long weekend in the Blue Mountains. The views were exactly as pictured with the most amazing sunsets, the kitchen was well equipped, the bluetooth speaker was way better than expected, the list goes on. We completed two bush walks from the house. Highly recommended!

From the moment you turn the key & step into panoramic views of the valley, everything about this home has been thoughtfully considered & we all can't wait to come back & stay longer. Stunning views, warm and cosy but still plenty of space, comfortable beds, well equipped, perfect location for catchup with friends. Oh and interesting artwork! Totally understand why guests keep returning, highly recommend.

Totally relaxing

We had one complaint....we didn't book to stay long enough! The house and grounds exceeded expectations. Thank you to the owners for the meticulous care taken with the property. The art work is sensational and the fixtures make the property both comfortable and aesthetically pleasing - something we're not usually fussed with but really made a difference. All the essentials were wonderful - heating, comfy beds, clean, well appointed. A true getaway with no need to think about bringing anything.

Nice space, nice outdoor space. Very clean and a lot of amenities on offer, which was a very nice gesture from the host! The only pain point we had as guests was the fact the house upstairs seemed very busy and loud. It was never to the point where we wanted to complain, but it is something to keep in mind. Given that a VRBO is advertised as a more private experience, this was a bit disappointing. That being said, we did enjoy our stay! The amenities and cleanliness were very nice, but those looking for more seclusion may want to keep these points in mind.

Our family has been coming to Cecil's Chair for several years now and it never fails to disappoint. The location is to die for, the house is kept in an immaculate state and communication with owner easy to follow. Highly recommended!

Perfection

Beautiful cottage in perfect surroundings. The view is unbelievable, I can't imagine finding better in the Blue Mountains. The Reidl family are amazing hosts, nothing is too much trouble for them. The cottage is thoughtfully appointed with everything you could ask for in hand. The spa bath overlooking the Megalong Valley is a once in a lifetime experience. Simply magical.

AmazIng views, well equipped property

The views from the living room and bathroom were spectacular! The artwork was interesting and eclectic. Comfy beds. The kitchen was stocked with nearly every cooking utensil you could need. Lots of books and puzzles. Would highly recommend.
