This is the scary part: When Waze told us that our destination was on the right, we could see the house, but could not find the driveway; the driveway was about 50 yards or more past the house on the right. When we barred right unto the top of driveway, we couldn’t see any more of the driveway UNTIL we both got out of the car to access the situation, and what a surprise; it was a straight downward slope with a solid concrete wall to the left and to the right was a drop off. In a panic, I texted the office to see if there was another way in; they didn’t text right back right, so we decided to bite the bullet and take our chances. So, we got back into the car and down the concrete slope we went and made it to the bottom, and then had to make a sharp right turn in hopes not to fall off into the brook that is now on the left side.
It was definitely a scary situation, but please do not let this comment detour your from visiting this AWESOME place. We just wanted to make you aware about the driveway. So, with that, we would recommend that whoever is driving is a good driver; you have EXECELLENT brakes, AND you haven’t hit the hooch (beer, wine, etc..) before going down this driveway or you won’t make it. On the brighter side, we finally got used to it after the 2nd day. :-)
Now for the good part: When we finally made it to the house and then enter, we ABSOLUTLEY LOVED IT!! It was like being in a cool museum, or cool man cave. There were all kinds of stuff to see and talk about, and the upstairs was nicely decorated for us ladies! The bed was comfortable and had great pillows! The ONLY problem was that the bathroom was on the main floor, and if you are like us and must visit the facility during the night, going down and back up the stairs wasn't something I wanted to do especially when I'm half asleep. :-)
SOOOOO, for the last two nights we slept on the couch. But we didn't mind, the couch was comfortable, and the bathroom was a few steps away.
IN SPITE OF those two things (driveway & stairs down to the bathroom), we ABSOLUTELY LOVED the place...inside and out!! And we highly recommend you stay there. It was a fun adventure, one that won’t be forgotten. But as I said in the beginning, you better be a good driver! :-)
